Gonna be real with you - I don’t believe that this was an aggravated assault per the FBI’s claim. My assumption is that border patrol/ICE straight up shot this guy because they wanted target practice. I will not change my mind until I see body cam footage of the ICE officer being actively assaulted to prove that they were actually defending themselves.

So is this a non issue because it wasn’t recorded from 4 different angles? Or is the issue here that a Hispanic person was shot so nobody cares?

True, hadn’t considered that. The more you read into it (there’s not much to go off of - it’s still an outline…) the more glaring gaps and inadequacy is revealed. It’s pathetic.

None of these are material financial levers that would drive down healthcare costs. Overhead and claims payments are visible in health insurance companies’ public financials. Displaying denial rates doesn’t change denial rates. More otc seems like it has potential for abuse by patients i.e., creating unsafe environments where people have carte blanche access to drugs (could see it maybe modestly lowering prices for a subset of medication) - prices on the wall? When your appendix bursts, good luck going shopping for the best price. What are you gonna do, die in the lobby while “shopping”?
This “plan” is a bad joke. While for profit health insurance has it’s inefficiencies and misaligned incentives, the answer is NOT this - it’s clearly single payer.
Gotta implement the mental seal to prevent this defeatist ideology from taking hold.

I’ve seen very few solid implementations of Salesforce… And the consultants are expensive. I’m sure it can be implemented correctly, but it seems you’d need dedicated growth ops staff to tweak, adjust, and continue to optimize the platform.

I think he’s talking about secure blue rather than silver blue (which is immutable) - https://secureblue.dev/

Ah, maybe you’re saying that we should cower from the authoritarian regime. Who knows, I’m illiterate.
Anyways, the comment above was a question that you’re more than welcome to answer rather than give a snarky little quip. I understand if that’s a stretch for you though. Best to stay scared.

The sirens of Linux call to you in the meantime.

I mean, 3 diet cokes is a lot of caffeine.
Edit: I’ve been corrected that 3 diet cokes is, in fact, not a lot of caffeine. Guess he’s micro-dosing amphetamines. My bad, y’all.

So what are suggesting? To shut up, get in line, and lick the boot?

2 minutes after your OC post - ruthless.

What if the browser doesn’t work? It will work.

I hear ya. I wanted the simplest, borderline unbreakable, PC for my wife. She is non-technical and I want it to feel like it “just works” so she doesn’t accidentally brick it. I use arch on my main PC and agree that control over everything without jumping through too many hoops is nice. I wouldn’t choose silver blue for me, but… I just want stability/to not have to manage it closely for her.

Setting up my wife’s first mini-desktop PC with Fedora Silver Blue this weekend! There are some perks to being the family sysadmin (i.e., since nobody else wants to deal with the system they get a relatively stable Linux flavor on any new machine)
Her old laptop is shitting itself and on Windows 10. Hoping for a clean cut over.

Got a link to that site?
I was previously in management consulting - if I see a ppt, I will harshly criticize the design/through line. I prefer planning heavily via a nicely formatted Excel document/Google sheet.
