The crash will come at some point, but based on the last decade, crypto boom, covid, just greed, now AI. Some new bullshit comes and jacks up the prices even more.
Call me a doomer, but the market is permanently messed up. It will not recover as long as some new player, maybe China, will enter the market.
Completely fair, just the difference and lack of constant flow of content is going to put off many people and without a significant enough drive there’s no point to get used to the new environment.
Mind pointing me in a the right direction?
I’ve reached to similar conclusion myself after some testing and words of some moderators of subs. I was thinking about testing it out on a virtual machine, but it’s probably easier to just move over to alternatives. I’ll probably still give it a shot at some point when I’m bored.
Though thank you for elaborating more.
That’s good to know. I was wondering and testing the exact pattern to avoid shadowbans. I’m just bored after getting permabanned and got curious what methods they use to give out shadowbans.
Few specifying questions, if you don’t mind.
On the part without VPN. Wouldn’t that get a usual ban? Or it’s already beyond that scanning timeframe after 10d.
And you mentioned browser. Is it specifically browser and app usage must be avoided or was it just an irrelevant word choice and app can be used as well?
Additionally, wouldn’t just aging the account by 30d work or the no activity part still gets flagged by the system?
It still is more populated and has a lot higher activity, which suits slightly better for doomscrolling.
Lemmy needs to get slightly more popular.
And maybe a centralized place to find different instances?
Like i haven’t found any active fitness related ones.
It’s like coming from a convention Hall full of people and going into a minimally occupied hotel.
Yeah they have really gone over the top with enforcing R1. Upvoting is already enough to get banned as it falls under sharing and it doesn’t have to actually mention any harm to the individual, just reference R1.
Good to know who to balme, if I’m ever going to be forced to go to the church on a Sunday.

As the increased gas prices haven’t effected the price of goods yet. Then I’d say I’ve been effected by it even less, by not having a car at all.

I’m not sure such a thing exists. Compliments are already awkward and uncomfortable or do absolutely nothing, which makes it awkward again as i need to pretend some over the top positive reaction.

Multiple thousands!? No phone isn’t worth that much. Bloody marketing brainwashing people into accepting exorbitant prices for everything.

Well Kremlin could pull out from Ukraine and there would be no attacks on gas hubs

Yeah i do agree that it should be still done, even if just to keep ones surroundings cleaner, just the pretending that it has a notable impact is disingenuous, kinda annoying and misdirects attention from things that can have at least some impact, aka yeah voting.

So basically any effort a single individual has done and can do in the future to reduce their footprint has been undone by 100x. Why are we even bothering?
I was on my last warning, maybe they ramp up scrutiny then or they have just ramped it up recently.
But yeah that was the post that was linked when they gave the reason for a ban and It was rather fast as well. Less than few minutes after upvoting. I was still in that thread trying to explain other person what R1 was.
Same, broke R1 and the last breaking of it was rather vague link. I just upvoted a comment that made fun of R1 under a post showing child abuse. Turns out that goes under it as well.
I finally got banned from Reddit and by now they have rather effective methods to detect ban evasion.

Microslop fully embracing it’s new name.
There is no law regulating who someone can sell something, assuming it’s not regulated goods aka drugs, guns.
AI companies just outbid everyone else by a big enough margin and there are less than a handful of companies producing RAM as it’s rather complicated and specific production process.
New producers cant easily enter the market due to the complexity and completely insane initial investment cost in setting up the production and they would have to design their own RAM chips as well, which would take years if not decades.
Current chip producers don’t want to increase production either due to liking high price and being afraid of the bubble popping.
Even if there is some legal grounds for government stepping in and regulating supply to avoid collapse of smaller companies who can’t outbid AI companies. They are dining and getting funded by the same AI companies.
