I meant they’re specifically not going for that though. The experiment isn’t about improving the environment itself, it’s about improving the LLM. Otherwise they’d have spent the paper evaluating the effects of different environments and not different LLMs.

I’m pretty sure they touch on those points in the paper, they knew they were overloading it and were looking at how it handled that in particular. My understanding is that they’re testing failure modes to try and probe the inner workings to some degree; they discuss the impact of filling up the context in the abstract, mention it’s designed to stress test and are particularly interested in memory limits, so I’m pretty sure they’ve deliberately chosen to not cater to an LLMs ideal conditions. It’s not really a real world use case of LLMs running a business (even if that’s the framing given initially), it’s not just a test to demonstrate capabilities, it’s an experiment meant to break them in a simulated environment. The last line of the abstract kind highlights this, they’re hoping to find flaws to improve the models generally.
Either way, I just meant to point out that they can absolutely just output junk as a failure mode.

LLMs can degrade by giving “wrong” answers, but not because of network congestion ofc.
That paper is fucking hilarious, but the tl;dr is that when asked to manage a vending machine business for an extended period of time, they eventually go completely insane. Some have an existential crisis, some call the whole thing a conspiracy and call the FBI, etc. it’s amazing how trash they are.

Trans nonby software dev who dated a furry artist, my disdain for AI knows no limits.
I use Nobara, btw. (Is Arch good I’ve never looked into it)

If you haven’t already done it, Pat (the Bunny) put all his stuff on archive and he’s far from the only one.

The phrase “we aren’t free until we’re all free” applies to animals as much as humans, and thinking otherwise is straight up bigotry. That so few extend leftist thought to the rest of the living world is a travesty, if you’ve managed to come around to leftist thinking then you’ve absolutely been capable of challenging your pre-conceived biases and this is just another step in that process.
All that said, I’m not one to judge people for not agreeing with this. It took me an exceptionally long time and the right circumstances to finally reassess my reasoning and to realise it was absurdly flawed, hypocritical and informed by propaganda.

Well I’m being a little deceptive for the joke of course, but he just felt like Jesus was sitting in the chair and then talked to the invisible Jesus.
The guy ended up doing a bunch of stuff at my highschool and which really bugged me because he only ever had surface level religious phrases to say (motivational speaker kinda stuff but with more Jesus) that glossed over some really big issues we were all facing at the time.

Ah yeah “all atheists just hate god,” I forgot that was a thing. Could be the case, it was a long time ago

I once met a guy who became a priest because he had a religious experience while talking to a chair.
The weirdest one I ever got was in highschool, someone said “how can you not believe in god, god is love” and I still don’t understand how that’s meant to be an argument.
If you steal them, avocados are free… or so I’m told
You know how the universe isn’t broken? Well it’s possible it could break and you can’t predict or stop it.
A slightly higher level explanation is that the universe might be in this state which is like a ball sitting in a little divot on the side of a hill, and if something bumps it out of that divot it could roll to the bottom. If that ball rolls to the bottom then it could cause particles to stop behaving the way we expect them to so things like chemistry and life stop being possible.

I’m going to laugh so hard if Trump has an “apparent suicide” and at least one cop says it’s not suspicious, if they can do it to whistleblowers who risk their profits, surely this qualifies?
Not saying it’s likely, just that I absolutely will laugh, probably for days.

This is most likely going to end up being used to push further law that’s used for surveillance of the population. Our government passes junk like this all the time in the name of “protecting kids” and then just abuses everyone else with it. It’s poorly thought out at best.

Probably proper knife skills. I’ve always been pretty good with a knife, but I’ve been taking my time to really refine the skill as I do a lot of cooking for large groups so speed is extremely useful. I honestly learnt a lot of it indirectly by just watching how chefs use them, but for the theory and all that I started with Lan Lam’s video on knife skills over at the America’s Test Kitchen yt channel.
I’m about to be going to an event where I’ll be cooking nearly a thousand meals a day for three days, so I’m going to be putting it to the test. The one nice thing is we’ll have a team of volunteers to help with ingredient prep, so it should be okay but daunting none the less.

That’s a pretty reasonable misunderstanding, I don’t speak for anyone but myself but generally as long as there’s no malice involved I’m not upset by an accidental misgendering.
I’m on jerboa too and didn’t even know there were specific pronouns on accounts, I just chucked mine in my bio.

I don’t think his personal accomplishments really matter in the face of his support for the far right, crushing hatred of trans people, calling people pedophiles and the absurd amount of misinformation and bigotry that he promotes on xitter.
If SpaceX needs an absolute piece of shit like him in order to succeed, then there shouldn’t be a SpaceX.

Judging from the other comments it’s not for everyone, but personally I love my Wednesdays off. For me it’s mostly about dealing with accumulated fatigue due to a health condition though, and I definitely agree about the errands. When I have lots of medical appointments they’re so easy to schedule lol
I’ve had mixed luck, some just don’t work on Linux regardless, legit or cracked, but fitgirl repacks generally work well in my experience.
I’ve been unpacking/installing them by adding the setup exe to steam as an external game, enabling proton GE and running the installer. The annoying part is then grabbing the installed files from the steam directory and then adding the gamr exe to steam as a separate thing I can actually launch. I tried normal wine. Normal wine did not work (on my distro at least, it’s complicated :/).
