Unfortunately it’s the people between the manufacturers and the consumers that think this current iteration of AI is the future. They even seem to think we want it and can’t wait to pay them for it.

You’d be amazed how many people are competent developers but have very little knowledge outside of what their job requires. I have friends in hiring positions and they see it all the time. Inflexible workflows and the complete inability to work if part of that workflow ceases to function are unfortunately common.

I’ve noticed that 2x rolls of toilet paper usually have the most sheets per roll. 3x rolls tend to lean in to the fact that they are 3 play and use a standard 1 ply roll as their base point so they have the same sheet count. 2x rolls seem to use a standard 2 ply roll as their base so the standard roll is the same sheet count as a 1 ply roll but actually has close to double the sheet count of the 3x rolls. It’s weird.

This would be the dumbest thing since brexit so it’s entirely possible that it’s true.

I use both and find yt music is far better for discovering new music and artists and I love that it can play music from YouTube video as well. Everything else about it is worse though.

For 15 years, Apple has always lagged behind Android on implementing new features, preferring to wait until they felt their implementations were ready for mainstream consumption and it’s always worked out for them. They should have stuck to that instead of jumping on the AI bandwagon with a half baked technology that most people don’t want or need.
