The selfie is 3rd party so I doubt it. I did it to my main account when it showed up on YouTube a while ago and I’ve had no issues. However it works is too stupid to know I’m taking a photo of a laptop screen even though it’s unbelievably obvious to anyone with eyes.

Take a ‘selfie’ of a 4k video of a talking person, beats it. Or if you have access to a paid gen AI service I would expect a high detail AI fake to work, although it doesn’t work with low detail.

I just used a VPN, and when that stops working I’ll either lie to their selfie age ID thing with a video or I’ll find a site that doesn’t age verify.

You can do the selfie thing, except use a 4k video of someone talking to the screen and it’ll probably work. I used an Evan Edinger video, scanned that and passed fairly easily. AI probably works if you can get a high fidelity image but all the free ones are well under 1080p and just don’t really register.

Does Clevo still make the fat laptops? My last was one of theirs and it was almost as thick as my fore arm. It also weighed a ton but on the plus side insanely easy disassembly. I probably should’ve got another one, my MSI is shit to open

They didn’t have a high end laptop option when I was shopping. If they want my money I expect an 80 series equivalent in my laptop. If not, I’ll probably just end up with a 7080 or 7090 if NVIDIA still does it then.

I use BOM, Australian government weather service.

There are programs that control your internet access and if you use one of those programs to say, block almost every windows service, a lot of problems go away.

I didn’t do it because windows sucks but it is a nice benefit. Edge auto opens? Cool, it fails because it’s barred from internet access. Ads? But no internet so no ads.

Also deals with auto updates from companies that need to fuck off. I guess that’s still windows.
