You know shit’s fucked when this guy is seen as some sort of contemporary Che Guevara. I agree with him on this stance though.
That thing you call attention span is actually absolutely intentional propaganda dosing.

I was just trying to offer a quick explanation/summary of the concepts or the main distinguishing external features of each class, because I see a lot of confusion and wrong self-perception. I see a lot of people saying they’re “mid to upper class” because they can afford a nice home and two cars. Just looking at how much money they have, not how do they have it or whether they can maintain that without working. Obviously to understand class and social stratification you have to read more. I am aware that the upper class are there because of the work of the lower classes and the surplus etc. I’m not obscuring anything, just offering some definitions. Sorry if it didn’t come out that way.

So I learned it this way:
Upper Class - can live a luxurious life without working at all, and even have domestic employees etc.
Middle Class - can live comfortably but only if they work
Lower class - cannot live comfortably even if they work, and can very easily end up homeless (no social safety net)
The dude who taught me this was my Sociology of Work teacher over twenty years ago.

Which is heavily influenced by words (propaganda of any kind, media, etc). Moreso these days, where most people know nothing about how things work…

Well, the public knows about those issues because Maduro talks about them all the time. Why wouldn’t they vote for him if they know it?

I don’t think even 5% of Venezuela’s economic issues derive from Maduro’s government. Not that I like him particularly. We severely underestimate -or pretty much ignore- the actual implications of being subjected to the sanctions and isolation Venezuela has been. And the huge social fracture derived primarily from the middle to upper class being annoyed at having to redistribute wealth for decades ain’t helping. I know this first-hand and the insolidarity, entitlement and neoliberal kool-aid drinking from that part of Venezuelan society is a fucking bleak reality.

María Cochina Machado
I recommend this one too
There are others worth checking out but I went with Nobara, it’s been the easiest distro to switch to for gaming on my main PC. It’s developed by the same guy who develops Proton (the compatibility layer that Steam uses to be able to play Windows games on Linux) so I trust his work. Lots of tools and configs out-of-the-box. Very beginner friendly and nice looking too.

Wait, is he an actual human being?!

I use this, it’s pretty good

It’s not that simple. I’m from Spain and the case with our own far-right party is different. They’ve lost momentum gradually, through multiple figureheads leaving or being kicked out, with the main guy still standing, but the scandals and the lack of actual policies proposed have definitely hurt them. The problem is that those who vote for them are exactly the ones who used to vote for the traditionally ‘moderate’ conservative party. Same as in France. So it’s just a constant voter dance between the two parties. The actual number of right-wing voters hasn’t changed much.
One can only hope that disenfranchisement as you call it (I call it chronic planned distraction) will eventually lead to some form of working-class rebellion, as it tends to happen historically.
But this will definitely hurt the European far-right. Le Pen was one of their main bastions and believe it or not, those types are not so easily replaceable. People lose interest quickly and they’ll tire of the ‘this was all a politically motivated complot’ rhetoric. I’ve seen the same happen in my country. In fact, the right lost the last general election because they were so sure they were going to win, their campaign sucked.

I still think this is good news though. Should help the far-right lose momentum. But then again it’s getting harder all the time to distinguish them from the ‘moderate’ right.

Definitely. Macron is jumping gleefully at this.

Thank you for that, pay no mind to those who won’t bother opening the full post to see it.
Not exactly stellar reviews for Spanish Armadas historically speaking, but ya gotta try.
