  • Twist the question:

Do you really care if your partner lives-in instagram “reality” or in what you experience as reality?!

Appearance-based “league” costs: it costs attention, focus, dedication, & resources.

Some care about experience-induced-value, others about appearance-based-value, & it shows.

Had a friend tell me once they lost a friend to modeling: it ate her brain.

Now all she could discuss were makeup & hair.

Was Einstein at the bottom, or the top, of “league”, once he’d become a philosopher?

    See?

One’s values is the basis of “league”.

  • Then they are IDIOTS at understanding crypto.

Bitcoin is the ecologically-costliest/electricity-costliest/machine-costliest cryptocoin to standardize on: it’s nearly used-up.

They’d have been much saner to have standardized on some other crypto.

I’d prefer that Algorand-type ones were standard, but they can be attacked by country-level attackers.

For anybody who wants outside-the-hype-bubble view of what crypto is, & how its ecology works, PLEASE read https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/attack-of-the-50-foot-blockchain-bitcoin-blockchain-ethereum-smart-contracts

The reason that Steampowered stopped taking crypto, is plain, in that book.

    _ /\ _

( PS: I’d enforce that there be an Algorand-type crypto for recording accounting-records with, country-wide, so that books couldn’t be “cooked” between closout-of-the-books & reporting. & I’d want to make daily closeout normal, if possible. Cisco did that, years ago, so it is possible, but some will scream against such economic-integrity measures, of course… )

  • Herdbeasts are sentient: they are “others”.

They don’t want to be slaughtered: we care more about using meat from their bodies for a momentary meal than we care about their lives-themselves.

    That is OUR values.

& our being sociopathic doesn’t make sociopathy universally-right or universally-valid.

( I’m not vegan, but universe has beaten learning into me until I’ve come around to seeing the prejudice in our whole “civilized” “relationship” with reality )

TTBOMK, vegetable-tanning isn’t done as much because it costs more.

& the original person’s comment about chromium-salts looks spot-on, & was ignored by your counter.

Just pointing out some stuff for objectivity, is all: integrity’s a precious-resource, & it takes all of us being loyal to it, to make it remain in our world.

  • There’s a webpage by a former fundamentalist on … would Evangelicals recognize the antichrist?

Then he goes through the Christian & Jewish prophecies…

Here’s 1 from Book of Daniel, ch 11: notice the explicit mention of strongholds/fortresses…

36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt himself and consider himself greater than any god, and he will utter monstrous blasphemies against the God of gods. He will prosper only until the period of wrath is over, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no respect for the gods his ancestors worshipped, or for the god women worship — he won’t show respect for any god, because he will consider himself greater than all of them. 38 But instead, he will honor the god of strongholds; with gold, silver, precious stones and other costly things he will honor a god unknown to his ancestors. 39 He will deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. He will confer honor on those he acknowledges, causing them to rule over many and distributing land as a reward.

That’s from CJB, which obviously Benjamin L. Corey doesn’t use, but I find it less-overinterpreted, cleaner to the source material, & usually giving a clearer-view into the warnings…

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel+11&version=CJB

The antichrist page is https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/ with its section on fortresses…

    Please keep in mind that

    1. any time your continuum/soul is trying to communicate MEANING to you, that communication must go through your unconscious-mind and it will distort the message, as it is acting as a “lens”… AND

    2. the more your unconscious-mind’s assumptions are strong, the more-distorting they are of the message. I complain about modern bibles over-interpreting/distorting the messages, but Daniel himself was distorting the message, because he was re-mapping it onto his local geopolitics, instead of letting it pertain to countries which had no basis in his world ( & Daniel was among the best of the visioneers )

    3. humankind’s history is cyclical: the biblical prophecies about the “towering monster, with steel teeth & clay feet” kind of thing actually refers to end-of-Age empire, strong, but decaying/rotted/corrupt … which happens to match BOTH The Roman Empire AND The US’s Empire.

So, there’s a kind of double-refraction going-on, which has to be managed, too.

Do see it for the brilliant warning it was, though: there’s stuff in Daniel ( about the “tribulation” ), & in Rev ( about “armageddon” ) which exactly pertains to what’s unfolding, now…

I’d prefer it be called The Great Filter, because that’s what it is, functionally: it filters-out all the won’t-grow-up world-species, force-extinguishing 'em all.

The American Indians called it The Great Purification, & have been knowing about it for the last 9-10 centuries.

Anyways, when one sees through the appearances, to know what actually is usable, then the warnings of the past sometimes forearm one, re the pending changes.

  • It’s either new/fresh, or old, eggs, that are hardest to peel.

The ice-bath after boiling is right, too, as it shrinks the egg within the shell, so peeling it is easier, as it’s already pulled-away…

You either got a too-new or too-old egg, & the white bonded to the shell-lining membrane.

The only method I know-of for defeating such impervious opponents, is simply to use a spoon inside the egg, to slice-away the egg from the inside of the shell.

Nothing else works, with those ones…

  • Banning it at-home, is 1 thing, but banning it while abroad & in hostile-regimes, would be idiocy: at the home-end, record the whole interaction, & make that part of official-record.

But make it impossible for the hostile-regime to get anything from either the in-their-country device, or the encrypted stream which they can’t crack.

the fact that corruption wants nonaccountability is 1 valid concern.

but the fact that hostile-regimes exist, & we’re in economic-meshing with them, means that we need to be able to have officials in those countries.

Which makes the requirement for communications which the hostile-regime can’t crack real.

    Oversimplificaiton is incompetent “management”.

Don’t solve the wrong problem, & pretend that you aren’t responsible for the authority you mis-wielded.

That they were having a non-accountable-within-the-EU group on Signal, that IS AN ACTUAL PROBLEM, but there are use-cases for Signal to be needed, if done properly.

  • I don’t dispute that the US Constitution puts birthright-citizenship on good footing.

I’m disputing that citizenship is binary: that’s the wrong principle.

Irresponsible-citizenship & responsible-citizenship NEED to be treated differently.

I consider Bernie Sanders a US Hero, but Trump I wouldn’t allow to vote, given his behaviors.

Graduated-citizenship ought be a real thing.

    Not responsible? No vote.

    Not accountable? No election/authority.

    Enemy-agent? No citizenship.

    1. it is THE best brainstorming tool there is for writing with.

    2. it helps one discover all the weaknesses in what one has written, though not necessarily for the reasons that’d be best ( I downloaded a local LLM, tried it, & discovered that it WOULD NOT ADMIT that Netanyahu’s “Israel” is genociding Palestinians… until finally I found a quote of an Isreali military official admitting, to Israeli journalists, that yes, the Palestinian numbers were accurate, so it was 70k, not 7k, dead, of them, as they’d been insisting all along…

I don’t need ideological-torque that facts can’t even budge, in my own computer.

    Fuck that shit.

    1. it is brilliant for doing web-search, for finding stuff that normal web-search is too dumbed-down to find. Trying to find a specific video, or channel, on yt, & their “search” function won’t let you find it? Ask an AI. Trying to find some organization you remember reading-about years ago? Try an AI. Etc.

    2. I’m hoping that somebody does a specific-LLM for each subdiagnosis, & correctly chains the things together, so it isn’t only statistically-reasonable, but accurate diagnoses, & renders doctors irrelevant for diagnosis: total democratizing of medical-diagnosis would be THE medical-revolution that our world needs.

    3. I wish that bad-teaching were replaced with good personal-agents or personal/offline chat, so that ALL learners could have best-of-breed mentoring in all the subjects they want ( within limits: our world doesn’t need more evil-makers, obviously ), & learning could be broken from the “education” cartels which currently “own” it.

Different case, obviously, but I remember reading about an AI which can identify pending-heart-attack from x-rays … and nobody could figure-out what the hell it was judging from…

    THAT is brilliant.

Specialized to the degree that it is trustworthy.

I’d be surprised if humans could possibly compete against a properly-done set-of-AI’s, which worked through, in the correct order, all possible diagnostic-reasoning.

Democratizing accurate-diagnosis would be THE medical-revolution the world needs, now.
