I don’t see where this beats a comparable latest M-series chip.
Anyone beating Apple at this game would be significant news even if it consumes 25x the power.
There’s probably a reason why Apple or any offering thereof has zero mention here.

Yeah but raising the collection age limit is likely the end result unfortunately.

People send me links to Amazon products and seem bewildered when I just don’t open them and or respond to send me the actual link to the mfr website.
Fuck amazon

My decision to take my property 100% off grid (last year) is getting better and better as this shit show continues.
If any of my friends showed up with facebook glasses, they would be ridiculed to the point of them either getting rid of them or us no longer being friends.
I use a dishwasher. Produce all my own power so that’s not a concern. Also on a treated well system so it really just makes more sense.
Generally wait until it’s full before I run it but yeah. Inefficiency is the enemy.
eBay and traditional websites selling OEM.
Fuck Amazon

He definitely didn’t write it, but had input on it lol

Religion, in general, is arguably the root cause of the most death, despair and human suffering in the history of our species. It’s even partly responsible for this current administration gaining power and definitely a supporting catalyst for project 2025…
So I can’t really read your post and not eye roll. There is no peace with religion existing outside of theory.
Are most religions good in a vacuum? Where their doctrine is followed and purely extrapolated to modern society and issues? Sure. But this doesn’t mean shit in practice. Religions cannot exist peacefully side-by-side as history has painfully demonstrated… When you boil it all down, it’s purely a tool to manipulate the participants into aiding ulterior motives of others.
We would be better off as a species if religion was eradicated and otherwise treated like the human disease it is.

Well of course. Which is why I mentioned it making a significant impact. Full offset wouldn’t be feasible without it being as large of a scope a the data center construction itself; not even considering storage requirements.
The unfortunate likelihood of projections (currently taking shape) being well understood, and accepted, at the time is extremely high.
It’s a win-win if you’re the owner of the server farm who had closed door discussions with the power company beforehand. I mean the citizens don’t win, but when has this ever been a concern?
If it was in their best interests financially, it would be included in the financial model before construction. My guess is that it was more appealing to just cut deals with various players.

When’s the last time you looked into this?
I just went fully off grid and I have a relatively large house and workshop.
The panels I used, which are great but aren’t the absolute best on the market come out to about 231W per sq. meter.
I have a 39kW system installed just for my house. It’s overkill, yeah but I plan for the future (telling the regional power monopoly to go fuck themselves for the next 30 years).
Covering one of these centers with solar would absolutely make a huge impact. Not only by providing power during the day but also with keeping the building cooler.
For reference, the panels I have (65 of), coupled with 100kWh battery bank.

This place needs a bot that automatically archives every link posted because most people are still painfully unaware of these tools:

Never ran any tests here but the difference is so stark that I never really considered it a need.
Kinda like when I switched from SoundCloud to Apple Music. I couldn’t go back to listening to the songs I had in my SC library because it was just noticeably worse.
I’m sure there are ways to rip high fi YouTube audio but the basic options I used in the past yielded results worse than avg SoundCloud quality.
Will say it’s been a few years since trying and I never had any paid for YouTube subscription, don’t even have an account. So, while it may be acceptable, I just never had a need and if I wanted to rip music, I’d be torrenting .flac files, not ripping .mp3s from YouTube

This is cool if you’re okay with low fidelity music.
After years of lossless and headphones to distinguish, this sounds like fingernails on a chalk board.
It’s akin to using a tape deck to aux adapter in an old car or recording a tape off of an old boombox radio lol. I’d rather listen to nothing.
I’ve been 100% off grid for almost a year now.
36kW solar system and just under 100kWh battery setup.
It’s been lovely.
