You misspelled “enshittification”.

Good thing that Linux can run pretty much everything I want to play. Ckb-new and and Streamdeck-gui still need some finishing touches so that E:D and DCS are identical to old Windows setup, but everything else seems to run without a hitch.

“You wouldn’t download a car (firmware)”. Hold my beer…
Wrote excels that controlled building automation and heat exchanger settings, collected water and electricity meter data automatically and created bills ready to print and mail to tenants.

I print all kinds of usefull stuff.
Custom installation panel for after market navigator/media center for my car, upholstery fasteners for the same, custom panels for usb button box, cable organizers for lan cabling, newspaper reading stand, you name it.
Might not be financially feasible, but it’s fun.

Yes and no. That model still gets updates. One I have has no active support licence, so it has to be updated manually.

No. It’s proprietary custom SoC that runs heavily modified unix on ARM.
But software is solid and patches come out lightning fast.

Same idea here. Fortigate 30f (since I can dl updates manually), Fortiswitch 124e (same) and 2 FortiAP 421E’s (ditto). All but ap’s I could grab from employers “ditch bin”.

If couple reports are true, it is already breached and can be mined for info.

Sounds like 'murrica.
Obligatory “Way ahead of you” post.
Company that made the robots in the thumbnail has the chance to pull the funniest prank.
Just make them confirm successfull audio command with “By your command.”
