  • This is so wrong it’s absurd. I work on machinery. Heavy equipment, I’ve dicked around with industrial robots and hell I even have and use a 3 axis cnc mill from 1986.

Most of the stuff that’s out there is reliable as time with very little maintenance required. Oil or grease movable joints. Top up oils, change oils every 1000hrs. It’s not hard or expensive to keep up on maintenance. Pay a premium and replace gear oil with PAG type oil, and you will never have to change that oil in your life.

Machines just work, they don’t have feelings, they don’t take sick days, they don’t take lunches. And why they fuck are you buying equipment with out way to pay it off first. Build it, and they will come. It doesn’t work all too well when everyone and their grandma has a cnc shop these days.

  • Plasma is made from basicly over charging a gas with electrons the gas getting all pissy about having those electrons and starts dumping them. something do with elements wanting stability. In that process you get alot of heat out put. Now f you make it more dense I would conclude simply, you now have more ionized atoms in the plasma stream, meaning your plasma will be hotter if the stream will be the same size or if the plasma stream is shrunk but has the same number of ionized gas atoms, you have the same heat out put but in a smaller stream.

I fucking love it! I have been there so many fucking times to the point of putting a hole in a wall. Best part is I’d give up walk away for a month or so then literally turn the stupid fuck on and press print and it would print just fine. I just use glass on one printer and carbon fiber on the other. I had pei once threw that shit right in the garbage. A good scuff with 80 grit sand paper on both and wash off with rubbing alcohol. I did have an issue once with a bent touch probe that would fuck my z offset so the first layer wouldn’t actualy be low enough.
