The Legend of Korra spoilers:
Korra doesn’t stakelessly get her bending back 15 seconds after losing it to Amon. They had the opportunity to give her the self-discovery arc that they tried to shoehorn into the post-Zaheer poison recovery.
The series could’ve had much better footing, in my opinion, if Korra had wrestle with that just a bit longer. Instead, a bunch of bald people show up and say, “I got you, Holmes,” and then she’s good as new.
It’s been a while, and I’ve lost some of my steam over this. But yeah, that’s the only one I’ve got the energy to type out right now.

The smell you get when your mom runs the household vacuum cleaner from the late 2000s / early 2010s at noon on Sunday.

That corny ass song from a few years back:
“I don’t wanna be alive, I just wanna die today”
->
“I wanna be alive, I don’t wanna die today”

I’ve recently been trying to train myself to lucid dream frequently. The first thing anyone will tell you is to keep a dream journal, and holy shit does it help. Started journaling them on the 2nd of January, and even just a week later I started having very vivid dreams every night. All senses included; and as of a couple days ago, fairly critical thinking (mental math). I haven’t managed to have a “lucid dream” yet, but I’ll get there.
For the sake of completeness, a lucid dream is a dream in which you’ve become aware that you are dreaming. Whether you can control the dream or feel that it’s vivid is a separate concern.
Pretty cool stuff.

Only one in this thread willing to talk about the real problems.
All the computer mice, headphones, and keyboards…
The connector cable it comes with will spend 10,000x as much time in my hand than the item you intended to give me.
Why are you conflating “ghetto”, “gangsta,” and black? 95% of it is about where and how you grew up.
There’s plenty of white guys who, although will never experience and understand what it’s like to live in America while black, understand the struggle of growing up in the ghettos, being socioeconomically alienated, and being pressured to look to the “gangsta” lifestyle.
These three can often overlap, but are importantly separate things. A white guy in that situation won’t know what it means to be black like I do, but I will never have a fraction of their knowledge and experience of what it means to grow up to the streets.

Thinking that they have the “one simple trick” for everything when most matters are actually a complex network of issues where there isn’t one answer.
It’s gotten to a point where I just go ahead append a warning that I have no source and am just making casual conversation.

I’ve heard the maxim that money doesn’t change who you are, but it amplifies. I think that tends to be true. However, the people you are exposed to in light of that money I think definitely can change who you are.
So yes, money can lead to corruption, but generally it’s in an indirect way.

Would you trust your government to fairly and equitably decide who gets such treatments?
The scientific, societal, and economic aspects of eugenics are inextricable.

Can you elaborate on “done correctly”?
I just had to initiate a claim because I didn’t receive a package that hadn’t arrived even though it reported that it did. Although it’s a bit hidden, there’s at least a “package arrived; missing items” option on the mobile app.

A strong desire to always learn and improve. I respect that there are people that know how to be and are totally content with just knowing what they know; but I personally have a hard time in intimate relationships with people that don’t take interest in learning.
Or you can be like those people on TikTok that pull their kids out of school and let them “guide their own learning.”
I don’t remember what they called this cutting edge method.
I’ll cut you a deal: I’ll hold onto your data for you—including data you never even asked me to hold—and you only have to pay me for forever. Good?
