If your life is boring, it’s because you are living in a manner that isn’t enjoyable to you. Quit your shitty job and find a better one. Move to a different area if your current area it’s not pleasurable to you.

That line shows a lack of experience. I find happy moments in life, but it’s certainly not all sunshine and rainbows. I’m currently living my life for the betterment of my family, to provide for them. I have to work a job I hate and I given up most of my free time for them. Do I hate them for it, absolutely not. Do I struggle mentally because of it, certainly.

I can’t move because I can’t afford to find a home where I can move my family to. My mom lives with us, which makes it more complicated. Not easy to move from a low cost area to anywhere else and find the same space typically beyond my means.

I can’t switch jobs, because I’d have to take almost a 25% to 50% cut in pay to do what “I want” which is a big hit when you’re just getting by already. I stick with it and keep it mentally as a thing I have to do to provide for others.

I question this every now and than and my own well being is less than those around me. Sucks a lot, I make the best of it. Let me be negative about life it’s one outlet I have left, I keep myself going by taking my suffering and altering it into a form of dark humor to lessen the blow of reality.

If you are able to do whatever you want when you want I envy your youth or your solidarity. You’ve obviously not had to make a sacrifice yet or you have been very fortunate. Don’t punch down at people who can’t make those choices.

As someone who works in marketing. We are not ignorant to how people operate and how to get in front of them. Go to the sentence that “Management makes most of the decisions”. We’ll be aiming for the people who actually buy things. Unfortunately in B2B sales that is usually the CEO/CFO/VP who has very little time to read and learn and would rather someone call and explain everything to make a problem go away. Typically they are of an older generation and hate digital media and wouldn’t be caught dead on Reddit.

That said, I always say honestly sells itself. Embellishing the truth or straight up lies will only get you so far and it’s typically short term gains.

Agency’s love scummy marketing tactics. This because it’s good numbers to them and they could give a fuck what it does to the client. They just want them to see that the graph goes up sharply for the first month and than silently bleed them dry as it flattens out and they can push more tricks or services to make graph go up again.

Inhouse teams (like me) can’t shit where they eat, so have a more genuine strategy for the long term. We are vested in the well-being of our company.

This was in the middle of the day, there were clear sky’s and the sun was shining directly on Charlie, as if he was chosen to deliver an important message. Than the shooter shot at him. I’ll say it as it is, nothing was between Charlie and the shooter that warranted this.

Minor improvement I heard of was implemented. A company let employees use sick time for doctors visits, because it is preemptive to employees getting sick and actually resulted in less employees on lengthy sick leave. For example finding cancer before it turns into a major issue, because employees don’t have to weigh PTO time off for childcare or selfcare.

There are steps companies can do to improve their employees lives. One miniscule pool of PTO as a catch all doesn’t cut it anymore. There is too much demand on our time outside of work.
