In absolute terms you’re right that Democrats aren’t the left but we’re not in an absolute situation, we’re in a relative situation. Until someone comes up with a plan to actually get sufficient support for a new party or ranked choice voting we’re going to remain in this situation where Democrats are the only real option to the “left” of Republicans.
I completely agree about Mamdani, first good thing to happen to the Democratic party in a long time! Which is why it’s so telling to see how mad they are about it.

I can’t speak for everyone but for me personally I’m less angry about the whole “both sides are the same” argument than I am about the total lack of a plan over what to do about it. I agree with what you just said but it gets really old hearing it from people who seemingly think that simply saying the line is enough to actually effect change. Absent of a plan it really feels more like a conspiracy to divide the left than a path towards real change.

For the record I’m also a Vivaldi user mainly because Chromium browsers make work easier for me but I refuse to use Chrome. However, as soon as Firefox fully supports sidebar tabs without an extension or CSS modifications I’m going to try to completely jump aboard.
