So you’re saying if dolphins develop fingers/a thumb on their prehensile penis, we’re hosed?

Very interesting. I knew large scale versions were used in grid stabalization, but never knew smaller scale versions were available. That would be ideal for op, as there is essentially no maintenance involved.

Nothing happens, the controller will open the circuit and prevent the current from flowing.
Optimal solution is biting the bullet and getting batteries, the controller will prevent them from being overcharged, and you will need stored energy on an island.
You could try gravity storage like the other person mentioned but it’s less efficient. During the day the solar panels power a pump/motor to move water/heavy object up high, and at night the water/object moves back down and powers a generator. There’s a lot more loss since you’re going:
solar energy>electrical energy>rotational energy>hydraulic energy/potential energy>rotational energy>electrical energy
and each transition will have losses due to friction and heat.
Maybe take the hand out of your butt and you’ll feel better? Has to be uncomfortable having that there 24/7.

Yarp!

This scene is similarly hilarious, but for a different accent.

Newfy “English” is the Quebecois of English dialects. It’s barely understandable by the rest of the country. An Englishman and an american/Canadian will be able to understand one another mostly with no problem. There will be the odd slang word that trips 'em up but, overall, the message comes across. Newfy is hard to understand what most words are, the accent is thick.
Similar to a Scottish or Welsh accent, I should think, to north Americans.

Growing the beard is definitely the easiest option, but then you have to start looking into beard oils to help it stay nice if you grow it long. Keeping it full but not too long is the happy medium that works well.
That’s a tough one though, without a local farmer’s market it can be harder. Next best option is find a commercially made soap with the fewest ingredients and use that, it will be an improvement.
Good luck!

Not sure if they’re everywhere, but around here you just go to the local farmer’s market and find the old hippy who makes soap. You buy the soaps you enjoy the smell of and use those. Basic ingredients that are much nicer on your skin, and usually last longer.
Bar soap works well for lather with shaving if you don’t use an electric raiser as well.
Haven’t found a good deoderant yet, all the ones that are better for the skin don’t seem to work well. At least, every person who’s told me about their healthier deodorant has smelled of bo.

Can you fly? Just go as you go to the scene, if anybody asks it was an eagle.

It’ll have to do.

Best I can do is three over worked tech drones in a trenchcoat who’ll work on this project in their spare time.

Most wouldn’t, some still would. The movie (don’t have the fortitude to read the book, the movie was bleak enough) seemed to show that there would still be good people in the end. The hard part is knowing who to trust.
Doesn’t help now, but when I buy a new phone I make sure it’s comparable with a custom ROM. Anytime I’m using a stock android (or iOS) phone it’s unbearable after so many years of custom ROMs. So hopefully you’re in need of a new phone soon.
The best part of Linux is the schadenfreude of watching Microsoft turn windows more and more into a nightmare, and laughing from the comfort of open source freedom.
Aka Laughs in Linux.

Hard to care about money when your head is in the basket next to a guillotine, though.
Not really, it requires intelligence to calculate the trajectory of a bullet, or angle to move to cut off a fleeing animal, etc. The op is just describing situations where animals use their intelligence for things humans generally don’t do, therefore are more intelligent in those areas.
Specialisation vs generalisation, a perigrin falcon does one thing amazingly, where humans have a wider range of skills.
