It’s pronounced ketch-up

They are? Could you explain? Because I was under the impression they were synonymous.

The most recent one followed the anti-soda and anti-sugar trend. Hard Seltzer, as far as the eye can see. I feel like it’s on the way out though. What will they think of next!?

They said the dystopian part out loud.
I love to shit on middle management as much as anybody else, but good managers are great. My manager worked his way up as a systems architect. He’s incredibly smart, very friendly, and always has my back.
What getting rid of middle management does is build a solid wall between the workers and the upper class. There’s no corporate ladder to climb. If you start at the bottom, you stay at the bottom. The people on top hire their buddies and other people in their class. This is like a drone strike on the shrinking middle class.

Totally thought the last line was going to be:
“for this phone to flop”
Either way, good poem.

Never seen that in the USwith dogs, but I have seen it with cats. Sometimes an area will just have a cat that will bop around the neighborhood begging for food. A bar I frequented in my 20s had an outdoor seating area and I always enjoyed when the neighborhood cat swung by for a visit.

I remember when I was a pre teen and I wanted a Limp Bizkit CD for Christmas, my mother said that the name of the band sounded vulgar and she wouldn’t get it for me. Instead she got me a Cherry Poppin’ Daddies CD… Smh
I’m sure it was never about the band name. She probably heard Limp Bizkit on the radio and later in the day heard “Zoot Suit Riot” and was like “I know what will make my son fit in at Middle School. Big band swing music”
Sigh…
There’s this band that I like called 3 - easy enough to Google if you search “3 band” - But if I’m driving in my car and I want to use voice commands to play music by them, well too fucking bad. I’m also not going to take my phone out of my pocket and look them up while driving. So I guess they won’t get the plays.
I miss having a CD player in my car with my sun visor CD slip.

Yeah this is one of those ones like:
She’s not wrong, but also, she can get bent.
It does however set a precedent for other celebrities and people going forward so I’m kinda with her on this one. If there’s one person who can make a stink about this and have it matter, it’s probably her.
It would have been better if it was one of the likeable celebrities. Like Keanu Reeves.
But I guess you take what you can get.

Am I the only one using Connect?
Am I out of touch?
No, it’s the lemmings who are wrong.

Where my Smart Launcher crew at? Usually you guys show up when it’s time to shit on Nova.
Anyway, if you like the features an ease-of-use of Nova, and you are looking for an alternative, Smart Launcher all day. A played with so many of the other launchers mentioned in this thread before I found SL, and it really feels like the best to me. But that’s just like, my opinion, man.

I work for an org with ~1700 Surface Laptop 7 ARM deployed. They are actually really nice. Managing them with Intune is a breeze (including BIOS management), and Windows ARM is actually getting 3rd party app support now (Thanks, Apple!)
Yes, yes. Microslop, I know. But we are talking end user computing here.

The front fell off.

I was about to bring this up. If they just removed all of the slop they implemented in the past 6 months, they could hit that 20% real easy.

I am fully against drinking and driving, but there is definitely some bullshit out there like getting locked up for sleeping it off in your car. I’ve read plenty of stories about people getting arrested for merely approaching their car while drunk, and that shit gets me paranoid. I live in a place where I park on a busy street, and there have been times that I am having some drinks at home and I’m like “shit I gotta go get this thing from my car”. The fact that I can get arrested while going to get my backpack or whatever from my car because I have keys in my pocket and therefore have “intent to operate a vehicle under in influence” doesn’t sit well with me. Go find actual drunk drivers. I swear half the shit cops do is making up crimes because they can’t meet their quotas.

So… Just tell them that it’s illegal for them to drive? Kind of like how we tell them that it’s illegal to drink and drive but they did that anyway? The point of the lock is that it’s for people who are going to ignore the law anyway. Not having a license does not stop somebody from operating a motor vehicle.

Not-so hot take: the underlying issue is lack of public transportation.

The one that did it for me - I was in the car with my wife and a friend. We were driving down the highway and talking about the clouds we saw. And I said “I wander what kind of clouds those are. Like cumulus? Alto?”
The I take out my phone and type “types of” and the first auto-fill option that came up was “types of cloud” and I was like “there’s no fucking way that just happens to be the highest suggested search prompt”
I recall he was actually somewhat progressive at first, but then he had a stroke and suffered brain damage and is now a republican. Go figure.
