  • If you need to haul extremely heavy stuff than you should be using that truck for work and only work. There’s no good reason to be driving a massive truck like that around to do stuff everyone else does with a normal car. Unless you’re in a rural area, no one driving a normal car wants be around your hog, especially in the cities where space is much tighter. And clearly OPs image is an urban area cause there wouldn’t be a parking ramp otherwise.

  • As a new grad, I honestly feel like AI output is worse. It gets stuff wrong pretty frequently and even I, as a new grad, at least know enough to notice when it is wrong. These days I don’t use it at all, cause reading the docs is faster and also more accurate (and also cause of all the other issues with AI too).

Execs are desperate to get a return on their investment into AI, which is the only reason they push it so hard, and eventually the slop is gonna blow up in their faces.

  • To be fair, I don’t go out much, but that’s partly because I’m in the middle of nowhere and there’s like nothing out here. On dating apps the men I see pretty much always have their political views set to conservative or moderate.

I did go to a bar in the cities once and I did meet a guy I liked there but nothing ever came of it. I do get the impression that men in the cities are likely much better than where I live, but I haven’t spent much time in the cities though.

I am also thinking about when I was in highschool, specifically a yeehaw highschool, and my impression was that most guys would rather eat crayons than pay attention in class. Those guys also had loser flags on their trucks despite us being in a northern union state, and there were a lot of them. Though I did have some guy friends who were chill, I felt like they were in the minority.

  • I think I just figured out why I can’t decide if I’m pansexual or finsexual. It’s because so many masculine looking guys my age are assholes, so my brain just assumes that all masculine looking guys my age must be assholes, so I’ve been nearly entirely turned off to all masculine looking guys. I know that good men exist, but it seems like they are few and far between so I tend to just avoid men altogether unless they are gender nonconforming. So basically I’ve limited myself to femboys and wlw, but I would date a masculine looking guy if he happened to be one of the few who aren’t assholes, it’s just that they’re hard to find.

I also live in a small rural area though, so there’s probably a higher percentage of misogynistic assholes here compared to the cities but idk.

  • While Debian is my preferred distro, I wouldn’t reccomend it to others unless they are techy and don’t mind fiddling with things. I absolutely wouldn’t reccomend it to my grandma (I would reccomend her Mint though) and probably not to someone who just wants to play games, especially if they have an Nvidia card. I do game on Debian with a 3060, but it was cumbersome getting stuff working properly because of old drivers. I did get it working, but I think most people just want to play their games and not deal with that. I also have a nearly 10 year old laptop with Debian, and since it’s so old, everything does, “just work”, but I imagine most people aren’t also using the same 10 year old laptop.

  • My nearly 13 year old beagle was put down last week. I didn’t want to put him down and I cried for a long time both before and after. He had Cushing’s disease and he got to the point where he could no longer walk or stand. He stopped being interested in food and he stopped responding to his name and things happening around him.

If we didn’t put him down I don’t think he would have lived much longer and he probably would have died in pain. When dogs are euthanized they give them a sedative and he looked extremely peaceful before he passed away.

The way I see it is that everything has an end. It’s just a part of existence that you have to accept. While I am extremely sad that he passed away, I am also extremely happy that he existed and that he was my dog.

  • When I was in high school a kid brought a gun with the intent to shoot up the school, but he got caught with it and ran before he was able to use it. We were in lockdown for over an hour while they searched for this kid, so while it thankfully wasn’t a mass shooting it was still scary and it affected the whole school. Some kids were so rattled they didn’t show up the next day or two. If the shooting did happen that would add 2,000 people to the number who have experienced a mass shooting.

  • Hate, insecurity, intolerance, and ignorance are the foundation of their ideology. I’m not proud of myself at all for this, but I got sucked into the pipeline when I was a young teen. However I am proud to say that I did fortunately manage to pull myself out of it and I’m now a socialist.

While I hate that I got sucked in, it does give me a lot of insight into why they are the way they are. They start by targeting common insecurities which they use to lure people in, and then they feed them lies while appealing to those insecurities. For example, I remember being a lonely teen and watching mgtow 🤮 videos and the gist of the videos was that if you joined their “movement” that you would get laid all the time, and of course that video was ridden with a shitload of misogyny and lies. Then from there it snowballs into more and more hatred and lies.

Conservatives are just sad, narcissistic losers who are incapable of understanding that people need to lift each other up rather than putting each other down. That’s why conservatives like to brag, because they think putting others down is how they get lifted up.

Being knowledgeable is a good defence against their tactics since their lies become obvious and it quickly becomes evident that they are fools.
