$600 MacBook in 2026 is absolutely insane to me. Around 2007/08 when I started using MacBooks as a student the entry level ones used to be 1200€.

Silent Hill should have ended with SH3.

This reads like a Kanye West tweet.

Not piracy related, but GrapheneOS.
They provide computer hardware to the Israeli army and maintain data centers through their servers for the Israeli police. They provide the Itanium servers to operate the Aviv System, the computerized database of Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority. This forms the backbone of Israel’s racial segregation and apartheid.
what’s wrong with PIA
Israeli company.

Quit using Google then

holy fuck

Who cares about HL3 at this point. Fuck Valve.

I wish that were a thing, but I don’t think it is. I’d like to set a long password that’s hard to brute force for the first BFU decryption unlock, but use a separate shorter PIN for subsequent screen unlocks.
I recently learned that police will clone your device storage and brute force the password without having to go through the phone’s PIN entry, so you’ll need a long to make brute force time consuming.

Off topic but does the UK still have the death penalty for treason? Just wondering.

grow up and join the adults
🙄

I believe the official title is “Department of War”. https://www.war.gov/

I always try and do my own repairs. Coffee machine, bicycle, electronics, anything that I’m capable of doing myself without risking catastrophe/death (I stay away from plumbing and electrical repairs mostly). If I can find a way to save money (cut my own hair, home gym instead of gym membership) I try and pursue that so I need to spend less time slaving away for my employer.
I wish I could do major repairs at home too, but I’m forced to rent so not legally allowed to.
Nihilism is one of those concepts I can never remember a definition of, so I end up having to look it up every few years.
Recently I’ve been called nihilistic for my opinion that bringing children into this world is irresponsible, because they will be likely to experience suffering, without an opportunity to first consent to being born.
If nihilism is defined by an absence of moral values or a lack of caring, I don’t see how it would apply to my stated position. I choose not to have children precisely because I care, and couldn’t justify taking the chance that my child wouldn’t want to exist.
I’m probably misunderstanding the concept, but so far I haven’t been interested enough in it to do a deep dive and read Nietzsche or whatever.
Never before have I felt so personally attacked.
