I’m a few weekends in, as soon as I get a minimal front end I’d be okay with sharing it’s still in the command line only stage.
Just sharing a little side project.
I wanted to write a side project for media streaming to see how things like Stremio work
Wrote a very minimal client in Go which took 5 weekends and I’ve so far been able to get it to look up something by tmdb code, grab it with prowlarr, Transcode when needed, present it as a link to work in browser
I’ve been slow with it but I’m pretty proud for both having no experience and not vibe coding (just good old-fashioned code theft off of Stack exchange sometimes)
Probably absolutely garbage but hey I learned a lot

11·2 months agoThis logic will elect Republicans again and they will make the situation worse. There is no option where this stops unless we keep voting in progressives like we did in New York and New Jersey.

Where exactly did I imply that? I brought up AIPAC sponsoring particular candidates and pitched a progressive.
If it didn’t matter AIPAC wouldn’t be pouring money into candidates, an example like think of is the 9th district of Illinois where Kat Abughazaleh discovered that one of the PACS sponsoring their opponents was a shell for AIPAC

Democrats in safe seats capitulate and deserve all the criticism they get but not all Democrats want the stairs quo. Minnesota just passed a wealth tax that they have been using to find better public education and free school lunches. New York Mayor Mamdani has been doing amazing things and New Jersey just elected a progressive.
Positive change is possible we just need more progressives.
This is why we need to push for progressives, it’s the only card we have left. Look at the last year if you want to see what not playing gets you.
