The fact a bunch of people on Twitter said it doesn’t mean it’s a 1:1 ratio to voting.

All the polls agree people lean more towards Israel than Palestine. Particularly in swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The amount of damage Trump is doing by destroying our international relationships demonstrates that America is central to the post-war order.

If by some miracle Trump steps back from the tariffs and the concentration camps and the blatant authoritarianism and the wholesale destruction of the federal government, the damage to America as an idea is something that none of us will live to see undone.

I mean, it hasn’t thus far.

It’s almost impressive how quickly the whole of the business world capitulated to Donald Trump.

I’d say it’s also a problem that the sort of people who use the Internet to find people to beat up are idiots, so even if they aren’t going out of their way to victimize minorities, odds are they’ll just beat up some random person.

Ferguson, John Marshall Harlan cited one of his objections to Louisiana’s public transit segregation law as being that it effectively left the execution of policy to railroad porters. Homer Plessy was a light-skinned Creole man whose family was free before the Civil War. He would have enjoyed roughly equal rights to Whites up until the first generation of Jim Crow laws in the 1870s. Harlan pointed out that the criteria for “White” and “Black” for the purposes of segregation was not solid, just being whoever was in charge of the segregated facilities looking at them and determining what they are.

I mean, did they do literally no research into what his policy proposals were? What the repercussions would be for those in her line of work? Did it not occur to her that the migrants she pays shit wages to were the people he was ranting about deporting?

The answer, of course, is no. She did no research. She dedicated no meaningful thought to it. She wanted to fuck the liberals because they put Harriet Tubman on a twenty dollar bill and she heard about the three trans athletes in her entire state and that was about where her consideration of the matter ended.

On a just barely positive note, we dedicate a frankly stupid amount of funding to keeping farms going despite their being laughably uncompetitive, most of the funding not really helping our food supply or economy, so it would probably be for the better if these cuts stick and idiots like her are forced to actually run their farms like businesses instead of thousand acre welfare queens.

In answer to the question of “why,” because the alternative is accepting that Stalinist communism sucked and the people of the Eastern Bloc rejected it when they got the chance, which is antithetical to tankie thought.

This will be the thing that finally gets us gun control.
