There have been a few studies that say scams, discrimination, racism and bullying will increase when people are forced to use their real name. In this case it’s probably because off a different reason, but still.

Indeed not fully convinced but not bad either. Gonna give this a go, thanks!
I need to dive into substack to see if it can work with my rss reader. Is Heather Cox worth the subscription?
Thanks a lot. Looks real good and added to my feeds
Thanks! I’m into psychology, technology, history and analytics of current affairs (background of conflicts or consequences for the rest of the world). I would love to hear your tips, if you’ve got some good recommendations.
I’m more interested in good RSS feeds than RSS readers. Of courseI’ve got all my news in there, but I’m looking to add interesting feeds but don’t know where to look.
They’ll make the replacement so expensive nobody will do it. And then there will be a new rule mandating it needs to be a reasonable price. Apple will say it’s reasomable because it factors in environmental costs, and so the dance continues.

I can’t seem to find a limit with https://addy.io It certainly doesn’t tie it to a certain website.
Got my head straight to this short (sorry, it’s Youtube): hehe
With mobile I also meant iPad so they’re good on that. To me “Photo” has a lot of Photoshop abilities (drawing, pencils, etc.) while it lacks, or seems to lack, some Lightroom functions (categorizing, overview of photos, ratings, etc.). But maybe I haven’t looked at it good enough. It’s certainly a good option to replace photoshop for me, because I don’t use most functions of photoshop.
That looks great. It’s mostly a Photoshop replacement right? I’m also looking for something to replace Lightroom, with the same amount of functions on desktop as on iPad. Any recommendations?
I’ve been on the verge of cancelling my subscription for multiple times now. But everytime I try an alternative it’s missing something (for instance capture one mobile does not do masks/layers…), and so I keep shipping shitloads of money to a company which has dickass privacy rules and extorts you out of money.

Never heard of Quiblr but I really like the look and feel of. Also great that you added a “For you page”. Any chance you can add kbin/mbin instances? Is Quiblr like a frontend which pulls data from other instances or is it an other fediverse piece of software? And are we able to selfhost Quiblr?

On macOS you need to do that quite a couple of times. Changing settings, installing stuff to run in the background, install stuff to open open login, etc. So it is there.
Furthermore a lot of programs and guides for linux are written to make it easy so they use sudo but you don’t always have to run it as root. But not doing so usually requires more steps. So linux is more restricting but to circumvent that, people use sudo a bit too much.

Librefox? Or something else? Don’t know, but since Firefox is often recommended for privacy, I was wondering if this changes things?
https://www.computer.org/csdl/proceedings-article/hicss/2012/06149194/12OmNyKJiDq doesn’t support my claim since on the aggregate level it’s reduced and on individual level it remains the same. But to not be too biased (by my own claim), thought it was worthwhile to post it. They do say here that it only reduced malicious comments by 0.9% (so it didn’t increase).
Here it says it doesn’t help. This article says discrimination increases, but I can’t find the original source. They say real names are better then full anonimity, but worse then pseudonimity.
But searching for the right study, I can’t seem to find it. Only news articles claiming it, but that’s not much of a study. So maybe I shouldn’t have said it increases, but it doesn’t decrease (depending on which study and which aggregate level you look at). A lot of articles point at facebook where people need to use their real name but still post a lot of unfriendly stuff.
