The best solution for privacy is to not use windows, seems like a good guide but even with all these modifications I would throw the computer in the dumpster and set it on fire before using it in any privacy sensitive or mission critical applications.

Linux runs fine these days, and with NTSync in the kernel and the work done on WINE and proton there really isn’t a need to use an operating system that abuses you and sells your data for profit.

Absolutely loved that novel (novella?). The descriptive language really captures a lot of the theme, from the shipyard chained together into a shanty town to the description of Sols oven being modified to different energy sources as societies resources dwindled

Would absolutely recommend it, especially if you enjoyed soylent green

My common solution to boot issues that lock me out is,

1. Get a USB Live distro (always good to have a backup lying around)

2. Boot into live distro

3. Chroot into the broken distro (Arch wiki has an article on this)

4. Fix any bugs that I can find and/or reinstall the bootloader

5. Test, repeat until the problem has been found and fixed
