i wasn’t asking for advice and its not welcome

im trying very hard to quit smoking weed… i know it’s not the same as nicotine addiction but it’s still a struggle. I smoked weed almost every day for like 6 years or something.

its annoying cus like i will be reminded of it constantly, weed culture is everywhere, memes and shows and movies and books. I get reminded and i want it, I get the urge and its hard not to smoke a little. i will go days or weeks without any but then I will fuck up and smoke again and suddenly i will be smoking every day again for a few weeks.

edit: i wasn’t asking for advice, i have a therapist I am working with please stop trying to give me advice its not what I want or need and I don’t like it, it makes me super incredibly uncomfortable. Its not helping. Thank you

Can you elaborate on what “subpoenable information” means. Like I have a vague idea but im not super clear if thats like a legal term with special considerations or whatever. Elaboration would be helpful.

Not being able to talk about capitalism in a tech community is like having a fishing community and not being able to talk about how the waters got shit in it.

They are connected but in practice there is definitely a big separation between lemmy and mastodon… you see mastodon posts on mastodon, lemmy posts on lemmy. yes its possible to view lemmy posts on mastodon but its fucking garbage integration, i have never seen a lemmy posts boosted on mastodon it just doesn’t happen… if I see a mastodon post here its in the form of a screen shot… the communities are effectively separate

Mastodon is pretty great for queer people. Better than lemmy I would say (and obviously better than the mainstream apps) …

Oh my what ever might that be like, having to deal with intolerance. I never have to deal with that nope. Nope it’s definitely not a daily occurrence for pretty much all trans people.

But the transphobes get to advocate for my erasure and that’s just free speech… yep makes sense… totally fair and balanced

We don’t have to tolerate the intolerant, they refuse to abide by the mutual contract of tolerance so they don’t deserve the protections of a tolerant society.

JKR isn’t just doing a little bit of free speech she is a billionaire advocating for hate on a massive platform and donating to hate groups, she has influence and power. She is absolutely advocating for the restriction on trans peoples rights, that is violence. Especially in a time when anti trans hate is on the rise we should be even more skeptical of claims of free speech, right now across the world hate crimes against trans people are going up and our rights are being stripped away.

Arguments about free speech are just a way to ignore the issue and do nothing as transphobia continues to thrive and spread. Stop defending hate.
