Emby is closed source and costs money to have access to all features. I’d recommend Jellyfin because it’s a free and open source fork of Emby with almost the exact same functionality.

Is it even possible for Ofcom to legally fine 4chan for these issues? How does a company in the UK fine a US company?
Congrats on switching to Firefox, it’s the best option. Ublock origin is a plus as well.

When it comes to the current final frontier, Linux phones, what brands/models would be the best option? Or are you all really recommending iPhones?
Not open source, but apparently not fully closed source either: https://vivaldi.com/source/.

As would I, but where exactly are we going comrade?

I thought this was a really fascinating video, since Apple Explained is one of the biggest Apple-Stans on youtube. He finally realized that his favorite company is wrought with greed, and was willing enough to make a video about it. The content or his ideas don’t necessarily matter; it’s his revelation that’s intriguing.

So can my 12 year old ThinkPad. You do not need brand new hardware to run ai models, average hardware can do the same.

The Tea app is agnostic. While its purpose and main use case was made for the safety of women in the dating scene, it was inevitably used to spread exaggerated or misleading information about otherwise innocent men. Imagine being a privacy-conscious individual, and breaking up with a toxic woman. She could go on to spread lies about you and even upload pictures of you to the reverse image search/ai. So even if you were doing everything right from a privacy standpoint, you’d still end up in someone’s private database, subjected to ai training, shared with the government, or who knows what. While I do see the purpose of apps like these, they can effectively take away someone’s privacy/dignity without them even knowing about it. Now imagine being a 4channer, someone probably even more privacy-conscious than lemmings, and possibly experiencing mental disorders like paranoid schizophrenia or autism; of course they’re drawn to hacking an app that would destroy their privacy. They are not sane individuals, so this event really was inevitable.

You can’t block all of Windows spyware. The best case of action would be to install an alternative operating system like Linux or a BSD-derivative. It’s counter-intuitive to “fuck Microsoft” when you are still using their OS.

It is definitely a nazi salute, but what if he didn’t mean it this way? Elon is supposedly on the spectrum, so he could have done it to show his excitement, without realizing the true meanings and implications. Of course it’s possible that he did in fact know what he was doing, if so then it’s a completely different story….

I’m probably going to look at Dell or Lenovo for a next laptop, they tend to be of higher quality. Plus old thinkpads are fast and inexpensive, so I may start looking at eBay for a good deal.

The current picture is of a browser (Floorp).

I haven’t ever been playing media when it happens, so I’m not sure. Also yes, I have tried plugging in external monitors, or trying to ssh in, but none work. It’s as if the computer freezes as well.

This was a wtf moment for me. Even though Discord’s privacy isn’t the best, and even though it’s proprietary, Discord has been seemingly loyal to its user base, even doing cool stuff like offering a Linux version of the app. However, if this becomes mandatory, I will promptly leave, I am horrified that they have fallen this low.

“Nome” or “guh-nome,” that is the question

Most people say “Zoomer/Zoomers” or just plain “Gen Z.” I thought you were talking about a hybrid generation at first!

Also, Ladybird is looking very promising, so in a few years we should have a true fourth browser engine.

I wouldn’t say better, it is all based on preference. And it was already mentioned.
It looks non-free as well
