Agreed. I’ve also seen a lot of hits (and sometimes runs ) in San Francisco. I haven’t seen a Waymo hit anyone yet and they have been able to navigate people parallel parking on the street. Waymos are not the best but they haven’t hit anyone and def know how to drive better than the average person in the city.

Agreed. The technology is still new, evolving, or not there yet. I was at an aquarium only last month. They were showing me a machine where there are only 7 available in the US so far. The scientist only got it like 3 days before I spoke to her so she hadnt used it yet but it measures concentration of microplastics in the ocean and is specific enough to tell you what different microplastics are there and their likely sources. Really cool but this science is super new and in its infancy.

I’m not a JD fan but I don’t really quite understand how and why she is representing China. She is Chinese American yes but per Olympic rules, she has to have citizenship in the country she is representing but it doesnt seem like she does?? China does not permit dual citizenship?

Oh. Yeah… Coworker issues can be universal no matter what industry lol. But yes! Continue to be there to listen to her and support her. Youre a great partner for asking the question! Therapy wouldn’t hurt but its a very personal decision.

Well, I would ask her first how she is feeling. Assess, dont assume. I manage ED staff and honestly they’re all okay unless there is a super super depressing case or a very difficult patient.

Otherwise, they’re fine and their work day is very normal for them. There’s even a few that thrive in it.

So unless her rant is about stress, maybe I wouldn’t worry. Lots of people in the hospital just like talking about their day or venting. If it is about stress or something more, there’s a lot of resources and interventions she can try/tap into: EAP, therapy, trying a different area in the hospital, etc.

I don’t subscribe to this. I am happily married to my husband but understand love is very dynamic and monogamy isn’t for everyone. There’s also polyamory, asexuals, etc.

On a more personal level, I don’t desire anyone else and neither does my husband but we have a very healthy relationship with no jealousy. We are both secure and discuss attractability of others we sometimes find in passing (I.e. we witnessed a guy full sprint laps around us while on vacation walking around botanical gardens. He was a beast). If someone good looking, charismatic, or intelligent, that is just our perception of them.

For me, I think there could be room for scientific advancement. I mean look at all we have today that we wouldn’t think possible decades ago. And people are still finding new foods. Food scientists are a thing. While there are bad actors out there sometimes if its really cool and really good, you can have a new product good for the public and profitable.

Like the other poster said, I’m no scientist by any means. Its not out of the question for our society to have artificial sweeteners that aren’t bad for us. There’s many out there. Maybe some are bad, maybe some okay for our health.

I have a balance board at work, and if weather permitting take my dog on a 10 min jog every day… I hate jogging but 10 mins is less than 1% of your day (15 mins is 1% of your day)!

I also do daily stretches.

I have an app called Finch that keeps me accountable by gamifying habits.

There’s so many I can think of because there are just too many books that have such a great story or good characters.

I recently finished Some Desperate Glory and can imagine it as a TV series.

Admittedly, some of the works I have enjoyed I selfishly do not want another version of it: Project Hail Mary (movie coming out with Ryan Gosling), dungeon crawler carl they’re trying to make live action. I could go for animated but unsure about live action.

Apple has picked up a bunch of book based TV shows. I read but haven’t seen Pachinko.

Same here. I also like to use it to save time on things. My work has all my info and their policies anyways so i use it to make meeting minutes, make emails summarizing policies or announcements, finding mutual scheduling times, etc. I can do all these myself but its so much faster.

I only really use AI at work and keep my work off my personal devices.

Yes to AITA. You’ve made several posts like this, dont follow any suggestions presented, decline to change (does not matter if youre neurotypical or not), I think even took another position in nursing and still miserable. If you are this miserable, as hard as it may be, likely would be worth a career change.
