https://lemmy.org/u/Mazdak seems to still be an active account, IDK about moderation actions though
But I was surprised to see that this instance has ads…
The first line of your post becomes the title. Tag the community at the end, not the beginning

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when people insist that the kernel is not old, it’s “stable” lol

I was talking about the update timing, Mint isn’t very up to date which can have downsides

then why do people suggest Mint so often? especially to gamers who often have new hardware

Fixed the URL for you, since the period at the end screws it up

Luckily Lemmy allows editing post titles! Lol

https://lemmus.org/signup works for me, are you on a VPN or something?
How does the join-lemmy.org site determine which instance to send users to?
It seems to come from this code, which could probably use some additional instances added to the list

but that requires bots honestly declare themselves as bots
you should report unmarked bots so the admins can handle it

You should create a Lemmy, PieFed, or Mbin account. You don’t need all 3, just 1 of them is enough

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 needs a CD unless you use RCT2 tools
You should get OpenRCT2

Pretty sure the API shows who the community’s creator is, I guess you’d also need to check if they’re still on the mod team

Is necro supposed to be a bad thing? I think it could be good to have long living threads, and Lemmy and PieFed have sorting options to allow for it (unlike Reddit), so maybe we should embrace it more

Hopefully we have ways to recycle the old chips. Some of the GPU chips could maybe be put on consumer boards? I’ve already heard of memory chips being recycled, except HBM of course.
Of course a lot of these companies would probably just prefer to put them in a trash compactor lol.

You can post from Mastodon to Lemmy by putting a mention to the community name (like @community@instance)
Mastodon users can follow the communities or the users.
So yes it pretty much works in both directions.

The first link still shows an empty profile with no posts

If you update from 43 to 44, will it still remove SDDM? Or does it get stuck as part of your user config?

has a long pause when going from login screen to desktop
Yea I have noticed this. It takes a long time to switch back as well when you lock the computer, logout, switch users, etc
Block the account making the posts, it’s a bot account and that’s all it does
