Huh, my computer doesn’t seem to be affected.
I’m using Arch, btw.

I live in a rural area in the US. Public school teachers are generally very good at their jobs, but a lot of the school boards around me have been taken over by the far right and so-called conservatives. They run on platforms like “ending forced vaccines for children” and banning transgender flags and they mostly win because there’s a lot of dumb racists here.

Well, he has a concept of a plan, you see.
But Debian… Really? A man of your talents?

It’s hard to hear what Microsoft is saying over the sound of my 15 year-old printers running on CUPS.

Fun fact: this is where the “banana connector” came from. Before copper was discovered, early humans used bananas for all their audio connections. The name stuck, even though wires are made of metal today.
DE is very important to me, however I’m on the side of extreme minimalism with a focus on the keyboard instead of mouse. I want my graphical environment to respond instantaneously to my commands, and I don’t like having to use the mouse for simple tasks like launching programs. I also use tiled layouts and multiple desktops extensively. I hate having to alt+tab to find the window I need - I want to just quickly move to the right desktop with a keyboard shortcut. I switched to i3 a few years ago and love it. I’ll admit though, this is not the DE that should be advertised to new Linux users.

When you’re too creepy for the island full of pedophiles.

This is why I outfit all my computers with a Matrix-esque EMP bomb connected to a dead man’s switch. If I get the slightest hint of insubordination, I’ll take them all down. I fucking swear it.

Calling it a ‘dumpster fire’ is a bit dramatic.

Just like that rapist Brock Turner.

It’s where they hide the space laser control panel.

Yeah, the only surprise any more is whether it’s just going to be the usual fraud, or some new creative type of scam I haven’t seen yet.

Either they conned the government org in charge of purchasing it, or that org just didn’t care enough to look deeper. They got a professional-looking demo that made it look like the tech worked, and signed the contract without a second thought.
