  • Tbf he’s Presbyterian, the same church as Mr Rogers, and by this atheist’s view, the only genuinely honest Christian sect as a whole. They focus heavily on Christ’s teaching on community, believe in the charitable service of others as the devine will of god, and they don’t prostilitize or require tithes. That’s not to say bad people can’t be apart of any faith, but as he’s a minister of that church (like Mr Rogers) I’m inclined to think he’s honest about those core beliefs and not just riding the good name of the church like other politicians have.

Ultimately none of that really matters. He’s on record more progressive than Crockett, and unlike her, did not take AIPAC money. That should be a deal breaker for any voter I don’t care what party, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion.

Tbh the only way keeping Russia from taking Ukraine is starting to look like French, German, and British boots in Kyiv… I know France has been keen on it, and their military alone is enough to beat Russia imo. Fuck really wish we gave them our American made subs instead of Australia rn.

  • The US government moreso than NASA as funding for them as been an easy punching bag for both political parties lately.

The other thing is optics. NASA isn’t allowed to blow up 20 rockets on their designs. They only get one chance to get it right. That’s why the SLS has only 1 launch and is 1/1 as opposed to the SpaceX Dragon and Starship can just throw money at them until they work.

Not saying one way is better than the other, just that NASA has to fight not to make the front page because 9/10 it means they made a mistake which costs them more funding. IMO all of this is going to come up to a very slow pace akin to NASA when we start with crewed missions (SpaceX Starship will be mission controlled by NASA as well). They super don’t fuck around with crewed launches, especially after the botched Boeing Space launch. And a crew launch failure affects everyone SpaceX and NASA alike.
