Taxes do not pay for the USPS. The USPS is fully funded by itself.

Hershey’s has had many reasons to be boycotted over the decades. I’m not aware of any of those reasons being corrected by the company.

I am completely against what Israel is doing to Palestine and against the colonization and genocide being done.

This instance of Hershey’s doing business in Israel is a very weak reason to boycott. There are many other obvious reasons to boycott Hershey’s.

This is the basis for taxing high sugar convenience food. It was done for cigarettes, and today, consumers overwhelmingly see it as a good program. (Of course tobacco companies lobbied hard against it)

Should there be a line on which products governments deincentivise? High sugar convenience foods have their purpose, but does it outweigh increasing obesity? Should we instead subsidize healthy foods? Or both together?

How ironic that much of Microsoft and all MacOS depends on Linux/Unix.

The way I describe it is this person sees the world as a stage that was put there to entertain them. Like the world is their personal TV.

When they talk about other people, they use phrases like they were entertained watching so and so. Or there was something happening they didn’t agree with so they closed their eyes. Or it makes them happy to watch some people do something.

And whenever they see something bad happen or about to happen to someone, they just watch and turn away once they are bored. They never warn or help anyone. To them, it’s just a blooper real or a slapstick TV show episode.

Women are amazing and as qualified as any man for any skill.

Unfortunately this person reasons just fine. Lives normally. Just has a warped view of the world. It doesn’t make sense how people can be so blind to themselves.

I know a MAGA like this. Constantly tells people their feelings are just made up mental things and not physical facts.

But then when he talks about how something is affecting him that isn’t a physical fact, he gets animated and literally says he is upset that people don’t listen to his feelings and that makes him feel bad.

Nope, you live in a society.

Try working at home with unreliable power or water.

Try driving many tens of minutes to the nearest store on crumbling roads.

Retail employees and utility service employees will decline in their education.

Many people will lose their homes and live on the streets. You might have to move to a gated community, and pay for private police patrols.

There will be more fires as people live in the woods and need to cook or stay warm.

Doctors will leave the state when patients can’t pay, so hope you don’t get sick. You’ll have to live close to a way to get out of state for medical care.

Private school will become scarce and more expensive as teachers leave the state.
