this is entirely optional. Just because they exist doesnt mean they can be improved. The ones currently available do not cover this usecase. The use case being a locally installed application wants to check if the user is 18 before showing them something.
If you’re a user that requires age verification (IE a child) then you cant just add it. Your parent will be the root user controlling your account.

No it doesnt. If I ask are you 18 and you reply no/yes that is verifying your age without doxing you. This field is for when the user is NOT admin on the machine. This field would be filled out by the parent when they’re setting up their kids machine.
How is it not suitable? If I setup my kids age and an app wants to use the portal to check if he is over 18 and it returns no. That suitable age verification and its privacy respecting. Which is what is being suggested.
Whats wrong with Age verification? its fine to verify age, the problem with the age verification laws is the issue of how age is being verified. In this case its fine because its local first and privacy respecting.

It sounds like user error to me. There is like 2 settings on onedrive and they couldnt even be bothered to configure it yet hes going through all this complicated troubleshooting.
I doubt that story. I’m a linux user at home but at work I admin windows and linux systems. I can see his logic because hes thinking how I would. But windows doesnt behave like that. On linux you can fill a drive and get issues booting but windows leaves space so that even when the user drive is full the system can still create temp files needed for operation. Whatever he did trying to get around the default behavior he misconfigured something

Dynamic IPs still have an ID associated. VPNs most can be subpoena for the true IP. Yes you can hide your IP but only a tiny fraction are doing that work and this law isnt going to affect them.
Governments already have an ID associated with an IP. There is no ISP that im aware of that lets you register anonymously.
I use Phocid and its good but it has this thing that drives me insane. Default behavior is when you select a song to begin playing it as a playlist. But if you search it treats the results as a playlist. Ok fine I can long press the song and add to queue.
But I change the default behavior to select a song being add to queue there is no option to long press and play as a playlist. Am I using it wrong or missing a way to use the app properly?
