So were Redditors 15-20 years ago, though. This place is exactly like the old Reddit ecosystem. Heavily focused on programming, Linux, and Star Trek. The smaller subs for politics, culture, news, etc take longer to build up.

In what location? In the US, directly after 9/11, has was pegged at .99/gallon because Bush made some kind of deal with oil execs. But they did raise it eventually. Not to 8/gallon though. Unless you’re speaking of Europe?

Welcome to Burger King, I love you. Welcome to Burger King, I love you. Welcome to Burger King, I love you…
Yeah, I really don’t care about the forced speech they do. Organic, natural speaking is way better than a script, and I don’t require anyone at their job to say welcome, please, etc. It’s a stupid solution in search of a problem.
Of course, I also don’t eat at burger king or their rivals, so I doubt they care. Increase the quality, decrease the price. That’s what would get me to go.

This is literally the plot of Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut. Interesting that he was able to predict it that far ahead.

What are the chances that this gets passed? It should be a vote from the people, but they know we don’t want it. But if they pass it there and no one riots, they’ll pass it everywhere.
This is something no one should allow. VPNs are the backbone of security in businesses. Not just work from home. We would be wide open to cyber attacks, with no defenses.
Whoever this lawmaker is, I hate their fuckin guts.
I tried tidal about two years ago and they had even less of what I listen to than Spotify. But maybe I should check in again and see what’s different, because nothing stays the same for long.
I’m pretty sure his label put his stuff back on there, despite his wishes. I seen to remember a need article at the time describing his reaction as “disappointed”. Not all of his stuff is back on there, but I guess the stuff he didn’t have full control over is.
Personally, I don’t listen to Joe Rogan, but I do listen to Neil Young. And Spotify is the way I typically listen to anything since they killed the SD Card on most mobile phones. So it hurt me, and I assume it hurts anyone who would want to listen to both and only gets the option of Joe Rogan. So I think having access to media is better, but I’m not the artist and I get taking a moral stance.
Kipp from Napoleon Dynamite. I greatly recommend watching it. It’s short, but very good at what it does.

They’re deporting us to concentration camps, not countries. They absolutely aren’t determining where you should go. Alligator Auschwitz, CECOT, the one they’re building in Guantanamo… It’s not a free ticket to another country and freedom. It’s a long road to death.

Reason, sure. Ability? That’s something else. Most of us don’t have enough money to make the journey. I don’t know of many places that would even accept us as immigrants without a substantial monetary value/donation or work skill, plus the language skills we don’t have because schools don’t teach foreign languages well or at all.
Who would even have us all?
I would love to know more, especially how law enforcement is tracking us, but this has a paywall. So I guess I’ll die in ignorance.

I learned to fix it. Before YouTube, that usually means not so great. But now, I usually do at least as good as a job as the people I’d hire.
Fixing stuff is easy, and you have to accept that there’s no perfect fix.
Ants, set out ant bait traps. Look outside and see if there’s a trail, follow it to the source, and spray it with ant poison.
Cracks, YouTube that. They may be nothing.
Leaks, if it’s plumbing, you can buy pipes at home Depot and replace them.
Granted, it will take a while. Maybe all day. But you’ll get an endorphin rush when it’s done and eventually you’ll come to know all the ins and outs of your house.
But it’s you look at it and it’s too big, Google a company to do it. Even if you’re halfway, and find you’re stuck. No shame in getting help. This shines you don’t have a family member or friend who’s already handy.
But really, if you can’t fix it, can’t afford to have it fixed, just do what you can to keep the house clean and work on it a little bit or put aside money till you can. That’s hard, but that’s owning a house. Like anything in life, it’s difficult. But it doesn’t have to stay that way, with enough time and practice.
You’re already smarter than many, asking for other’s opinions. Don’t suffer in silence. I believe in you!

Until we find that Nestle is just bottling the same tap water at twice the price. Oops!

I doubt it matters what we think anymore. It barely did before, but I can’t see any light at the end of this American Experiment tunnel.

Whatever glue they’re using has a different expansion/contraction rate than the stainless steel, and the fairly smooth metal doesn’t give much surface area to hold, anyway. So in cold or hot days, you’re going to see separation.
And it doesn’t help when they don’t even glue the right pattern from the factory.

Certainly not his estranged family that didn’t even live with him. Typical CEO behavior, pursuing profit over his own family relationships. What a miserable way to live.

Oh, gross. I haven’t seen many videos of him (especially lately) so I guess I hadn’t seen enough of his stuff for his personality to come through.

Why is Musk mad at AsmonGold? Did he dunk on Elon for paying others to play his account?
I just… Fail to see the reason Elon should dedicate his time to fighting with a neet shut in. Asmon turned off donations on his stream. He doesn’t care about money, political influence, or bathing. Just games. What possible gain would there be in trying to mess with him? The richest person to have ever existed in history, in a slap fight with a dude that lives in a dirty hovel? It almost sounds like trying to fight Diogenes.
And exposing his editors isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is. They just protect him from YouTube’s crappy rules.

It sure seems like a cool accessibility tool, but he spent the whole time taking about why he did it, and magnets, that it glosses over the “how does it work?” Part that really matters. It’s not just a keyboard, so I’m sure there’s more to it. I’m hoping he has other videos that explain the concept.
I think the downvotes are proving you right 😉
