Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, as a whole.
I guess within the band, my ranking would go:
The holy trinity for me is SNES, PSX, PS2. I know this is massively colored by when you grew up and what you had access to, but nothing since has outshined these in terms of actual fun for me.

Bum dee deedley bum dum de dum dum, (bum) dee deedley bum dum de dum dum…

You might also like Auditory Anthology then. Their original stories are sometimes a little hit or miss for me, but one neat thing they do is they rebroadcast old episodes of a 50s radio show called X Minus One between their own stories. Often ones that they used as inspiration for a modern rewrite in an earlier episode.

I tend to go for story-telling podcasts, and within those I gravitate towards Twilight Zone/Outer Limits/Black Mirror style weird anthologies.
Right now I’m finding a lot of great stuff in:

Children’s Horror

I’m not sure this is a question I’ve ever really considered, but the names that immediately spring to mind are ABBA, Enya, and Mama Cass. They’re certainly music I’ve listened to as a buoy in the dark sometimes.

We give gifts to both sets of parents as a couple, but we’re both involved in picking them out.
Actually what usually happens is my wife sets me loose to wander in a store and follows me like a dowsing rod or a truffling pig, and then I stop in front of a shelf and go “I dunno, this?” and 8/10 times she goes “holy shit, yeah”.

I think a lot of amateur writers feel more comfortable with a prompt or an established theme for the community to get started with. It’s part of why WritingPrompts, HFY, and HumansAreSpaceOrcs were pretty popular on reddit. After that, I imagine it’s just like any online community, a matter of promoting it to people and getting splintered tiny communities to band together in one place.
It looks like your community is pretty general theme-wise, have you considered maybe a “theme of the week” post, or a sticky where people can dump prompts for someone to pick up and run with?

Maximo
Fuuuuck, I haven’t thought about Maximo in years. That, Dark Cloud, and MediEvil are probably highest on my “It’s been 20 years, where the hell is my third game?” list.

Nethack maybe? It’s been updated over the years, but it’s still largely the game that released in '87.
I’m also playing Might and Magic 6 [98] right now, and remembering why I liked 7 so much more. Planning a playthrough of World of Xeen [93/94] soon too.

Romantically? I don’t suppose that there’s much choice to falling in love. But continuing to love someone once the honeymoon glow wears off, and it’s not always as happy and easy? I think that is, to some degree, a choice you make.

I think I see a young Kitty Foreman in the back.

You can use a chair as a table, but can’t comfortably sit on most tables. QED, fuck off tables.

Also we get Will Sasso to come back as hotelier Gomez Calhoun at least once a season.

We’re bringing back Sliders without a reboot.
It was the real Arturo that got left behind in “Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome”, and Remy ends up finding him again after his cliffhanger solo slide.
Working with Arturo, they manage to get a slidegate up and running to go back for the others. They also find a dying copy of Quinn along the way who has some valuable Kromagg info and end up merging him into Mallory like the accident that melded our Quinn into him, in a last-ditch effort to save him. The presence of this third Quinn, who is almost like the original, outweighs Mallory so we have Jerry O’Connell back in the cast.
The gang all back together, they go to deliver the Kromagg bio-weapon in Remy’s blood and succeed. It’s now slowly spreading across all worlds. But the Kromagg big bad they’re fighting during this process sets off some kind of nuke inside a slide-tunnel, destabilizing the entire thing and basically scrambling sliding across all worlds. Even if you knew how to precisely connect to a world before, it goes somewhere else now.
And now we’re back to the classic formula, we can do whatever we want from here.
A TV with an OS and apps is not “simple”. Simple is a screen that displays what I plug into it.
