  • Don’t trust corporations, especially those where one egomaniac has all the power.

I disagree with the inference of the second part, publically traded companies are forced by shareholders to lay off workers and sabotage long term plans for short term profits all day every day, and they’re emboldened and desperate knowing their grift has nowhere left to grow/metastasize on a finite world they’ve already largely raped, pillaged, and conquered for it’s capital value.

The problem isn’t whether one egomaniac majority shareholder capitalist or 1,000 egomaniac shareholder capitalists let their insatiable greed disease do the managing.

The problem is capitalism and the worst of human impulses it stokes exclusively by design.

Fuck Elon Musk the blood emerald heir with a bachelor’s degree playing pretend he’s Tony Stark though.

  • Our sole, shared environment is COMMUNal.

Market Capitalism requires infinite growth/metastasis on a finite world of finite resources. Its very nature is as impossible as one pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.

IF humanity cared about its own future, it doesn’t btw, we’d be focused on shrinking humanity’s footprint significantly over the next few generations to find homeostasis/equilibrium with this world, the only world we will ever encounter as a species that is naturally hospitable to us.

But that’s a non starter. Not only will we not do that, but we will refuse to so much as temper our reckless growth/metastasis, even in the face of oblivion.

It’s darkly hilarious how many unwashed peasants, losers of this rigged global economy, still RAGE against the concept of an economy that focuses on having everyone’s basic needs met sustainably, because there would be no room for the super yachts and private jets they would never be allowed aboard anyway under such an economy.

We’re literally gambling with our own extinction, and losing, in the name of “but someday I might be rich. And then people like me better watch their step!” It’s the height of pathetic.

  • I think you could drastically minimize any impact by doing the time travel in space and merely observing from high orbit, assuming your time machine has no form of exhaust, which if you have a time machine seems like a relatively small engineering challenge by comparison.

You might displace a few atoms in the void, but it’s the safest way one could go about it.

  • I thought we had a labor shortage.

I’ll befriend one of these immigrants actually fighting to give their family a better life over one of my exclusionary, self professed “conservative” countrymen born on third base acting like they hit a triple any day.

Also I consider nation state borders to be the imaginary lines that enable the local warlords/oligarchs to entrench their power over their region, and carve up our communal habitat for private benefit. It’s a damaging, tribal, animalistic concept that divides humanity on more than geographical terms. Wrong idealogical direction if we want to be a civilization and not beasts at each other’s jugulars in the dirt.

  • Look at the sheer scale and number of massive, malicious mistakes that one of our billionaires makes, while having ZERO impact on their tangible quality of life or lifestyle. None. Their ego score goes down and nothing else changes. The people they laid off suffer, never them.

Remember that when some pro-market capitalism class traitor nitwit inevitably tries to shame struggling people for daring to get a latte, eat Avacado toast, or get an education based on learning and growing as a person rather than solely insatiable greed.

People in the little club basically have to rape dozens of people to finally be permitted to fail, like Harvey Weinstein.

You aren’t poor because of “your bad decisions,” you’re poor because of a relatively small, insatiably greedy, powerful group of people that demand and expect almost all of the capital value your effort produces to go directly to them.

  • The GOP establishment, which the Federalist Society that now controls the SCOTUS represents, never liked Trump.

They spent decades turning their base into conspiratorial, counterfactual nitwits through the media they own because then they could easily tell them “climate change isnt real! Give rich people all the money! Poor people made bad decisions!” etc, and rob everyone blind to thunderous applause and their nitwits defending the owner’s grift from the rest of us.

Then one day a notorious opportunist got up on stage, said the quiet parts out loud, co-opted that engineered willfull ignorance, and stole their nitwit brigade right out from under them. Remember, the turning point for Trump was the day he told the crowd he’d like to take protesters out back and “beat the shit” out of them. Prior to that he was hiring extras to attend his rallies.

The Machiavellian Mitch McConnells and John Roberts have been quietly seething ever since. Trump makes them feel dirty because he embodies the crassness of the con they’ve been leading their nitwit voters around by from a sterile distance. Their crass nitwits aren’t supposed to bleed into their halls of power! Their careful, coordinated long game grift compromised by a 2 bit snake oil song and dance grifter.

  • Humanity is doomed in the short term by its own hand, and that is the absolute best fucking thing that can happen for the planet and the other life on it medium to long term.

We appear to be a self-solving blight upon the natural world. As the late, great George Carlin put it, the planet is ramping up to “shake us off like a bad case of fleas. A surface nuisance.”

As a species, we’ve proven beyond all doubt that we are too malicious to be stewards of this world, and too self-important to ever peacefully recede in numbers in order to find equilibrium with this world as inhabitants, rather than have dominion over it.

Our macro-cancer ass of a species has got to go.

  • It makes me mad at myself, but his fear and confusion in that moment was cathartic. You have to hurt a lot of people eyes wide open to actually deserve the suffering of witnessing your own mind and sense of self crumbling from the inside, but Reagan was and McConnell is on that list.

We at least got to witness him experience a tiny sliver of the shame, pain, and terror of the Americans he inflicted his cruelty on for decades with a shit eating grin so he could cut his own taxes and that of his country club friends on the backs of hard working, struggling human beings.

No sympathy for the devil. I’ll remember you this way, Mitch. Now go fade away you spooky, sociopathic fuck.

  • The United States has the most comprehensive social safetynet and system of redress on Earth.

exclusively for the tiny sliver of the population that already owns everything and controls our government through institutionally legalized bribery.

As has happened for all of human history, we have devolved back to the golden rule: those with all the gold make the rules, and surprise surprise, the rules say they can’t lose and you can’t win.

  • Fuck China, and fuck the United States I live in. The nations of the Nordic region and a few other developed nations have my respect because they respect and value their citizenry. Their economy is a tool that is used to facilitate the distribution of goods and services for the benefit of their society and its citizens, what an economy is supposed to be, instead of doing it ass backwards as we do, hurting citizens to protect the beloved fucking economy and the growth/metastasis expectations of the owner class.

China/The US/Russia are the world leaders in exporting the notion that their citizens should be exploited to stoke the growth of the economy for the benefit of their respective elites. Whoever wins, their people lose.

Why should I go rah rah America when most stakeholders in our society are not meaningful institutional shareholders in the value society produces?

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/18/the-wealthiest-10percent-of-americans-own-a-record-89percent-of-all-us-stocks.html

It shouldn’t be about saying simon says or coming out of a rich vagina or if not making perfect economic decisions and kissing ass from age 18, begging to be included and killing yourself for masters who were born into wealth for a small chance of being included in the prosperity of the prosperous nation you’re supposedly a member of.

And don’t you just love the class traitors here that come out to celebrate the failures of citizens who tried? oh you took out student loans in a subject that in hindsight didn’t pay dividends, haha loser. Oh you just started working and didnt get an education and are stuck in the underclass, haha loser. That’s what it means to be an American, rooting against one another as the owner class laughs.
