I know there are a lot of older gen X who follow suit with boomers, but there may still be hope for them when the Entitled Ones don’t have such a voting impact. Same for Xennials (like me), Millennials, and so on. Remember Vance was flipped from being anti-Trump, for one.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking, probably so, but I believe the post-Trump hangover and subsequent rebuilding is on the way. Eventually.
My SO is a teacher here in Texas. She’s well aware of the budget hoarding Abbott has been at for years; districts are hurting and having to close schools to get by. State Congress also made cuts to homeowner taxes for schools.
It’s especially amusing when Abbott touts pay raises for teachers. Their health insurance premiums increase, to the dollar, for the amount of the ‘raise’.
I think the goal is to end secular education in the state. Fund the private/religious schools/charter schools (which in particular are a joke), and give the bogus vouchers for homeschooling. As others have said, they want an ignorant populace.
Hopefully when enough boomers die off we can turn things around.

Further, nobody willingly leaves the military at 19 years. 20 years and you get retirement pay for the rest of your life–19 gets you nothing.
Maybe he had a medical retirement, which is fully possible for any number of reasons, but…
Probably he did something egregious to get kicked out at 19 years. Leaders will often let servicemembers near 20 years retire when they’re guilty of wrongdoing (in consideration of the many years served beforehand). To cut short a retirement career is to make an example of a person for doing something awful.

Back to the Future on NES. All I remember is a series of pain in the ass mini games having little to nothing to do with the plot. One of them was called “That Sinking Feeling”, where Marty apparently had to platform his way out of his own stomach.
And E.T. of course, fuck that game.
I haven’t seen anyone mention that her attention was divided. Two agents were approaching, yelling at her, one grabs at the door handle while screaming “get the fuck out of the car”.
Meanwhile the murderer slowly made his way around the front of the vehicle, out of her line of sight. When she panicked and tried to flee, he saw his moment.
The panicked flight attempt after the other agent told her to get out of the vehicle is what will see the murderer walk free.
To me it looks like the murderer used careful timing to set the whole thing up, confident his leaders would back him up.
