minus-squareDessalines@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up13·2 years agoI think its a hangover from twitter, that you also see a lot in mastodon. One-upmanship seems more suited to user-following platforms where gaining social cred is more important for spreading ideas than the quality of the content.
