    You can change your display name, but not the username.
    Then again, you can always just make a new account and transfer your subscriptions and settings (but not your post/comment history).

      Thanks mate so if I change my display name people wouldn’t see my username? Cos I see people’s full usernames on their comments.

        Most users haven’t set a display name. Look at mine, though: You should see ℕ𝕖𝕞𝕠 rather than Nemo. The former is my display name (emoji letters) and the latter is my username (plaintext).

        Hey yeah, it’s fun, it’s anonymous, it’s got personality. I would absolutely keep it

        I don’t think there’s any way to change your name yet; the fediverse is still growing in terms of QOL
