A member of Russia’s state-owned news agency gained access to the Oval Office on Friday to cover President Trump’s sit-down with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky – even as the AP and Reuters were barred from the high-level meeting. The White House said the journalist was not authorized to be in the press pool.

Wait… if the TASS reporter wasn’t approved, how on earth did they gain entry?

Could I just show up to the white house and talk my way in to meetings between the POTUS and my enemy leaders too?

And would I be politely escorted out if I was discovered?

It’s like when your roommate’s new girlfriend randomly shows up. You didn’t invite them, but you know exactly why they’re there

They were probably already with the President and walked in with him. That’s my best guess.

You don’t just appear in the Whitehouse. It takes screening, lists, escorts to the right place. You don’t just slip in.

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.
