There’s some restrictions within Lemmy for paging someone - you can’t do in the body of a post, only a comment, and the other person’s instance has to have the community that the comment belongs to (and that community has to have some local subscribers)
Otherwise, just a normal @stinky@redlemmy.com will do (you should receive this, even though it wasn’t a reply to you).
You mean the two communities have to be federated? Is it enough for me to subscribe to the community, or would a member of that community need to subscribe to one of mine as well?
