I love it!
I wonder how this affects homelessness. What surprised me in my country was how much the homeless dependent on those cheap eats for food. How a 2 dollar burger here meant a meal for them, and how a price increase meant extra begging to get fed.

Complying in advance is how we get fascist government.
Apparently we don’t have to do anything as advanced as that to get one. Because the American people would just as easily vote one in.

I feel bad saying this, but part of me wonders if this is what they need. A real wake up call, a real understanding a real view of how bad a country can get if you throwaway the guardrails in place that was there to keep the very government in check and allow them to outright eat the poor to supplement the rich.
I just hope it doesn’t destroy the country before they realise what’s taken from them.

I showed my dad this and he loved it, he’s from Italy so traversing the Italian art was just amazing. And the thing literally only cost a few dollars.

The scary thing about this is not that he did it. But that this is where we are at. I believe (I’m not from the us and don’t follow politics so could be wrong). That Biden believed in the system and thought others did too.
But with Trump coming in, he now believes the system is broken. What he believed in is broken. And as such he’s getting what’s his, for himself. And now democrat or Republican they both will stomp on the US system to get what they want.
And I have no doubt that the US people are really going to learn what that truly means. When you throwaway the guard rails that you used to believe in. I hope you watch closely.

It reminds me of this thing I read where countries would give all these donated designer clothes to some country, only for it to collapse their economy because making clothes was one of the only jobs available there.

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories.
Surprising me since I absolutely love Discovery.
Mateee this is exactly what I can see happening. This is exactly it! Let’s see 3 years from now I’m going to look back on this comment
No. I used to believe we were, I thought every generation the world was becoming more open and fighting for a better tomorrow.
But not anymore, I think the rich has put short term profits over the needs of the world sooo much that it’s placed the majority in a bad situation. And because of that, people can and will only be able to look out for themself first. Because they are in a situation where they have to.
And I think we’ve gone past the point of return, where the future will continue to go negative, whether it be businesses destroying the society for profit, or the destruction of the planet or financial crises and hyper inflation from printing money, or just some outright war.
The majority are so busy trying to put food on the table or get a roof over our head that we can no longer care for the rest of the world.

Aw i miss when website tracking was only “xxxx users have visited this page” and it was just a simple counter that counted up.

Unfortunately i think its becoming more a thing, so you have to be careful of future updates as some companies are realising they can put ads on your menu screen now

My guess is either your location or notifications. I’m guessing the first assuming the site isn’t just an outright scam.

Theres a few answrs to this

Yeah, imo they got worried that people would start asking government agencies to make legislation about things like this, so theyd rather backtrack now so they can keep it as part of their TOS.

And even if it was true, it would only be for now. It only takes one government at any time in the future.

I would definitely changw your password, also see if you can check the logs of login as it will sometimes show and you can see if the country aligns.
For what its worth, if you think youre not being hacked. It sometimes ive seen it come up when people use a vpn and are connected by some sort of app. And it flags a 2fa to reconect. Its unlikely but i have seen it.
I like to open them in either its own browser or a virtual machines browser. One that wipes it’s cache/tracking/etc each time you exit. Its not great but at least it sandboxes it a bit in an area not connected to any of my other data
