I was gonna say this as well. The average is $50k but no one is forcing you to buy the average priced car. The low cost end of that range is still under $30k (for now). You can still get a reliable Toyota/Honda/Subaru/Mazda sedan or compact SUV with that. What’s actually already disappearing are the under $20k cars. My Kia Soul back in 2020 was just $19k.

I learned about this a couple of months ago and I’ve since disabled previews in notifications. It’s unfortunately the nature of how notifications are delivered to you. You should be fine by disabling message previews in your notification settings.

I’m gonna take a guess that a big portion of it is infrastructure-as-code, the operations side and not product development itself. I work in the operations side of things and we never touch the product at all, but we deal with a lot of code due to how backend infrastructure is built and maintained now, especially if you’re in the cloud.

It’s mildly annoying that they didn’t sort the list alphabetically. Also, they didn’t test AKG, which is what I use for studio headphones. Glad I just got some studio monitors, so now I only use my headphones for additional reference.

Other than a VPN, use a privacy respecting DoH provider on your router so all your devices use that instead of your ISP for DNS.

It’s a netbook with Apple’s bells and whistles. IMO it should be $100 less, at least for the base model.
Most stuff with obnoxious advertising causes me to avoid them, and that’s usually a bad sign. Compare that to Mullvad, who only do pinpoint relevant ads, and they have the receipts that show they actually do what they say.

I guess the broken clock thing applies for the Mullvad recommendation. I haven’t seen any issues with them and they have had a good track record.
It doesn’t matter because the companies are mandating their workforce to use it regardless if you like it or not. For personal use, yes interest may be waning, but wanting to use AI is not a factor when you are being forced to use it at work.
