  • So does the modern incarnation of the “great replacement theory” include dastardly Democrats “moving people” like Somali refugees into a relatively concentrated area (like one city or county or region), waiting for them to become citizens (multi year process if ever), and then leveraging that to take power through elections?

I mean I think the explanation that makes more sense is grouping traumatized people with a shared heritage together probably makes them feel safer and accelerates true assimilation (bi directional to include America changing a bit). Coupled with this that become citizens through our legal naturalization process are… American citizens. But what do I know I’m probably not taking enough HGH and testosterone and ketamine

  • If Mamdani wins and keeps his mandate strong to the point that opposition to him is career suicide, he can implement some amazing improvements.

Bernie’s success in Burlington was never going to translate to broader America, but NYC is hard to ignore.

The real test will be what Democrats do nationwide in response to a Mayor Mamdani administration. If they do the same old New Democrat/Third Way bullshit they’ve been doing since Bill Clinton won* in 1992, they’ll continue to be irrelevant in the face of populist hucksters like Trump.

  • This argument has the same flaw as arguments about Americans “not wanting to work” in other jobs that are majority immigrant like construction and agriculture.

If any of these jobs paid well for the level of profit they generated, Americans would do them. Everywhere you see an immigrant filling a role in America (MAGA would say “talking a job”), you’re looking at a horrifically undercompensated worker being abused by greedy capitalists.

The only bad guys in America are the ultra wealthy, their apologists (paid or no), and their enablers. They should all go up against the wall and get a very stern talking to.

Those abused workers are our comrades.

  • Any official that is disobeying a lawful order from a judge is in contempt, should be charged as such, and put in jail if they don’t obey the lawful order.

If that doesn’t happen, then the people tasked with implementing the judge’s lawful orders (including contempt findings and sentences) are themselves in contempt.

This cycle should repeat until the right people start going to jail for contempt, or they start following those lawful orders.

If judges’ orders can be ignored with no consequence, we’re done as a country.
