You can’t reform away from capitalism and even if you could, in order if you reform away the exploitative and unsustainable nature of capitalism then you end up with something that is completely opposed to capitalism.

Capital runs our world, and so capitalists aren’t going to let you take away their power. You’re asking the king that has both the gun and the bullet to please so very nicely give you both of them so that you can use it for good. But they depend on that gun and bullet for power. So you must take it by force as it will not be handed to you.

Tbf as much as I hate capitalism and as much as I am in favor of eating the rich (wink wink) the problem with AI is not that it exists or is being developed. AI like any automation is an incredible technological advancement. And any sort of automation is only a problem in a capitalist society

Imagine being pissed at the inventor of the tractor (I know Sam Altman didn’t invent nor is actively developing AI. Many engineers and researchers are). Now less people need to do back breaking work for growing food. That’s incredible! We only lose jobs because the profits from automation are being funneled to a very small set of people

They were trying to break free using Bitcoin. It seemingly worked quite well so they were forced to stop doing it. The article title is misleading in the sense that the failure isn’t from Bitcoin (quite the contrary).

You don’t even have to be pro bitcoin to see this as something bad, but feel free to keep supporting such propaganda and external influence of politics. I’m sure it really benefits you

They were forced to stop using Bitcoin as legal tender by external parties. The question people should be asking is why? And the answer is not that it was a failed experiment.
