A person who doesn’t feel empathy is damaged goods. Either born wrong or raised wrong. If a Christian sort of god exists, then Charlie Kirk would be his mistake. So it’s for that reason that I don’t hope Kirk is burning in hell, because there’s just no way that a hell exists.

Didn’t Trump say that Xi told him he was going to take a harder line with Putin?
It used to be that the US commanded some respect, but now we put a clown who always chickens out in charge, this is what happens.

Maybe police and politicians should both wear bodycams.

Considering the news I heard recently about a Reno power plant dropping all of their customers so they could provide to a data center, maybe they just want more of any type of power plants so that they can keep their lights on.

Forum rules should be public, and it’s generally better for everyone if they’re specific, too.
When I report content, it’s better when the report form gives me a list of stuff to choose from, and I can check off the box.
When moderators remove content, they should have the same experience. It makes things easier for them.
Users who read the rules don’t end up getting upset about wasting time having their content that they worked hard on removed.
I don’t think it’s a good experience for users if moderators even appear to be power-tripping, and that’s often what it looks like if they are moderating without rules.
The exception that I think most people would agree with is that when the rules are specific, you can get trolls who specialize in barely not breaking the rules, while tricking other people into breaking the rules. So, good moderators do need a little discretion, but I think most of their moderation would be easier with specific rules.

Article says the current decline in violence started during Biden’s tenure and the trend continues in Trump’s tenure.
Crime rates are complicated and there will need to be a lot more analysis before anyone should say it was due to some specific politician or policy, but I suspect that regardless of that, we won’t hear the end of this from certain politicians and propagandists for some time.

I know it’s not currently the law, but I think if you’re a politician, you should legally have to maintain a higher standard for things like this.
Slapping a phone out of a reporter’s hand? Maybe if it was a private citizen being targeted, or I could even excuse a politician doing that if he was protecting his family.
But just the politician alone in a parking lot, and the reporter isn’t even getting in his face? Unacceptable. Surely there’s some law that he technically broke, like assault or something. Even if you wouldn’t charge a normal citizen, a politician should have a higher standard.
I say no excuses for politicians doing things like that. He should at least be arrested and booked into jail.

I know it’s a joke, but people who don’t know what they are doing are relatively easy to predict.

I absolutely 100% stand by my original comment
Great, so I guess you’ll talk specifically about why it was both “ignorant” and “misleading”.
Of course we all want even better and cheaper batteries, it’s a braindead comment to make.
Whoops. It seems you failed to say anything about why the comment was “ignorant” or “misleading”. Even if you accept it’s “braindead”, and I don’t, that only means it’s not using brain power, like the author is just on autopilot, and doesn’t mean “ignorant.”
Of course, it would have been an impossible endeavor to prove your point, because their comment was neither ignorant nor misleading.
Anyways, I’m done here. I’ll be reporting you for violating Rule 3 and blocking you.

You called their comment “ignorant and misleading.” Do you actually stand behind those words?
So asking for more research and less talking when the progress of actual research is publicized is just moronic idiotic, and everything else describing ignorance.
They didn’t ask for “more research.” They were asking for more of these cheap and effective batteries to be available for them to purchase.

Your comment is both ignorant and misleading.
“Less talking. More X,” is a cliche that doesn’t imply that there is zero “X.”
I think you’re fundamentally misunderstanding their comment and then attributing your mistake to them as if it’s their mistake.

Whenever capital punishment comes up, I am reminded of the hypocrisy of American Christians.
Pretty much every Christian claims to believe that killing is prohibited by the ten commandments. In a democracy, if you vote for a politician who supports the death penalty, you are asking them to kill a person on your behalf. A Christian should not be able to vote for a politician who supports the death penalty.
Compare that with abortion. The bible says virtually nothing about abortion except how to pray for one. If you vote for a pro-choice politician, nobody is being killed on your behalf.
Compare these two, and it’s obvious that a Christian who votes for a pro-death-penalty and anti-abortion candidate is voting against their own religion. But they claim to be voting for Christian values, which is pure hypocrisy.

Ignoring everything else, “washed up” only means someone has lost their previous high status. It has nothing to do with age. You can be a washed up child actor.

Of course, it’s completely subjective what is the biggest violation. The constitution itself doesn’t really make any distinction between which violation is worse, unless I am misremembering something.
If you’re offended by a lack of due process and racism and that sort of thing, you might also find the Internment of Japanese Americans during WW2 similarly offensive. 2/3 of them were US citizens whose only “crime” was being ethnically Japanese. Or the infamous Trail of Tears.

I am talking about the concept of replacing the fluoride that you’d normally drink in your drinking water if they stop adding fluoride to it. Do you actually think the fluoride in drinking water only works when you swish with it?
Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay when you ingest it, as well, especially for children. Here is a link.
https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Fluoride-HealthProfessional/

He’s had the Petty Bitch title for most of his life, though.
It’s just not enough for him to rape children anymore. When Donald Trump rapes a child, he only hurts that one child. By taking millions from a charity that helps children, Donald Trump has found one more way to ruin many children’s lives all at once.
Trump seems like a person who heard that old meme about “How many children could you defeat?” and he ran with it.
Stopping food programs for children. Bombing elementary schools. Raping children. Caging children and separating them from their families. Deporting children despite their being US Citizens.
Trump is working from every angle to harm as many children as possible.

Listen dude, what you described is from ingesting too much fluoride, which is a problem that I mentioned if you’d read my entire comment. The swallowing of toothpaste is advice for people who are drinking water that hasn’t had fluoride added.
The point of my advice is what to do if they stop adding fluoride to your drinking water.

I think I saw on QI that they were talking about how a lot of the public water in England has yet to have fluoride added, and that people could supplement their fluoride by choosing toothpaste with fluoride and swallowing it after brushing.
Also, Wikipedia seems to say that you can get the necessary nutrients by drinking a liter of tea daily, as tea leaves also have fluorine compounds.
But you can also have problems if you ingest too much fluoride.
Are we going to start arresting people who publish lies on social media as if they’re news?
I’m pretty sure that the reason we haven’t done so is something called the First Amendment to the US Constitution, which guarantees free speech and freedom of the press.
If they’re going to arrest people for lying, the city of Trinidad, Texas, should start with people who lie the most and make the most severe lies, like Donald Trump and many of his top officials.
