Project 2025 seems to have 3 groups.

    • Those that are terrified about it.
    • Those that would be terrified if they knew more about it.
    • Those that think it won’t affect them or anyone they care about. (See leopards ate my face party)

I haven’t mentioned Project 2025 to my parents or my siblings because it is the culmination of everything they’ve been told they want since they voted for Reagan. It would make them vote harder. So yeah, you’re right.

I remember when Trump separated Mexican children from their parents and kept them in actual cages while moving their parents several states away without keeping any records of which children go with which parents. Lovely guy.

Are we not currently in an era of mass incarceration? It looks like currently the US is 6th in the world for incarceration rate and 1st in the world for total number of prisoners.

Wait until the second Trump administration announces that if you’re Latino, you go to prison if you’re detained without your papers and if you’re queer, well, that’s just prison.

I believe the response is in the territory of just because it’s bad now doesn’t mean it won’t get so much worse.

      I mean, I’m amazed we’re not 1st in incarceration… and Project 2025 thinks that’s losers numbers.

Yes you are, and it is very convenient for the DNC that they can blame it on Trump, while taking bribes from private prison companies too. It is still the same cabal like around Bill Clinton who passed mandatory minimums for drug possession.
